I stayed at this hotel in October 2017.||||Positive aspects:||||• The attention of the staff is excellent. Rodrigo showed me the room where i was going to be, the dining room and the bathrooms and gave me all the instructions i needed. Then, at night there was another receptionist who was very kind and attentive as well. She called a taxi to pass by me and take me to the airport at dawn. In addition, she serves breakfast.||||• Breakfast was excellent and unbeatable. First, it is self-service and also has no schedule. That is, you have cereals, fruit, coffee, milk, tea, yogurt, orange juice, ham, cheese, butter, homemade quince jam and not homemade at any time, except when the administration closes, which is a approximately 00hs The only difference is that during the morning, at 8 AM, they served fresh bread. But later during the day, you can eat whenever you want. I took advantage and took food for the trip.||||• The hotel rooms are quite large. In my case, I stayed in a single room, in which I had 2 beds, a desk with a chair, a mirror, a huge window with a curtain, a large enough table with a lamp, a clothes rack. In addition, the room had drawings painted on the walls, which gave it a more picturesque touch. Each room does not have a number, but a name.||||• The area of the rooms has a common room with large windows that overlook the street on which the hotel is located. In the common room, you have several table lamps that illuminate everything at night, a table with chairs, a library full of books in several languages, even armchairs with cushions and even a fish tank. It seems more the living room of a house than the living room of a hotel.||||• To enter the dining room, which leads to the rooms, you have to enter with a password, which gives security, since not everyone can enter.||||• To enter the hotel, you also have to enter a password, which allows you to enter at any time, since there is no 24-hour reception and, in case you lose the key, you will be able to enter the hotel as well.||||• The room sector has 3 large bathrooms, with shower, toilet and a large sink. While the bathrooms are individual, there are 3 bathrooms, which is difficult to have to wait to go to the bathroom. The shower is excellent, you can regulate it so that the rain comes out both from above and from the tap below as from the middle.||• The location of the hotel is excellent, it is close to the shopping plaza, near the center of Lisbon, near where the nightlife takes place, near the train station of the Plaza del Comercio, which you can reach from there to the airport and vice versa, as well as taking the train to Belem, Cascais, Parque das Nacoes and the coastal cities of Lisbon. In case you want to go to Sintra, you can take a train there and make a combination with another train higher that takes you to Sintra.||• Also the hotel is close to the port where the boats cross to the areas that are in front of the center of Lisbon (Cacilhas (where the Christ is), etc.).||||• Also the hotel is close to the Riveria Nova market, where you can find food of all kinds, both day and night.||||||Negative aspects:||||• The hotel entrance is dark, especially at night. I think they should put some lighting in that area.||||• The hotel does not have an elevator, however the stairs are wide and quite large, so there is no problem in loading large luggage.||||Conclusion:||||Without a doubt, I would stay at this hotel again. Mainly because of the location, the food and the attention of the staff, factors that are important when evaluating where to stay...
Read moreI am very conflicted about this place. ||The good:|-The overal design is really nicely done, not just the common space but also the bedrooms, hallways and all little corners are touched. |-The staff is very friendly and greets you well. The evening staff very talkative and helpful. |-the kitchen is well staffed to help you make any meal you want|-the breakfast is good and the coffee and bread, juice available the whole day |-spacious rooms and decent bed |-overall cleanliness good |-perfect location ||The bad |-I didn't mind the seperate bathroom but some might.|The bathrooms are clean but not sweeped dayly as we saw sand lying in two of them for more than 2 days. |-for a 4 night stay I expected clean towels or at least a tough up of the bed? |-it was extremely hot in Lissabon (45) and that's not the hotels fault but the lack of a ceiling fan in the common room is weird to me. This is easy and cheap to have in a country with hot summers (now very unbearable)|-the buildings is old so you will hear people walk next and up |-no airconditioning and because we were next to the busy road with bars we had to sleep with the window closed (very hot and no fresh air as a result) |-bedlinnen in ikea bags for more than 2 days in the hallways ||We met great people and had fun here, but we slept bad. Partly of the weather but partly of the lack of the building. Wouldn't advise against coming here though! We had fun and enjoyed the...
Read moreFirst about the pros. Very good location, near the embankment, central square, public transport stop, market, pink street. The common area is very spacious and beautiful with designer trinkets. Breakfast is self-service, but there is enough of everything. There are eggs, sausages, bacon, tomatoes, fruits, muesli, coffee, tea. But the room itself is not very cozy, completely empty and boring. There is nothing in it except a bed, a shelf, a sofa and a noticeable hanger. The bathroom and toilet are private but through a common corridor. It is difficult to find pros here, it is inconvenient, all the time running with the keys to the toilet and back. But the worst thing is to return in the evening. All three days on the street in front of the entrance there was a terrible stench. Someone was relieving himself. In the entrance itself in the evening there are a lot of huge...
