This restaurant is worth a visit for sure! A nice cozy feeling with cool ambient music. Ricardo the owner took the time to explain the dishes and was very personable which added to the wonderful experience.
We started off with the charred padròn peppers as an appetizer - and these were quite tasty (honey, salt and olive oil). For a main course we had the cod fish á assis which was delicately cooked with splintered potatoes, olives and tomatoes. It was prepared well and delicious.
As the top dish we had the stewed pork cheeks with celery purè and grilled asparagus. It was incredible to say the least. No knife required as the pork fell apart and melted in my mouth. The au jus was very tasty and complemented the meat. I would have had two dishes if we had more time, it was that good.

Read moreUnexpectedly delicious and an overall lovely dinner experience! The Azorean “Pica-Pau” comes with beef sauce that is absolutely legendary. You could put this sauce on anything and it would be spectacular! The sirloin cubes were cooked to medium rare perfection. Would return for this alone! Loved the Duck “Escabeche” as well, with its bright acidity. The two of us ordered five starters to share and finished with a dessert each. Along with a bottle of wine, it was the perfect amount of food. The restaurant is small and cozy, the service friendly, attentive and efficient. The two front of house guys did it all except for the cooking - seat guests, take orders, serve, clear tables, polish silverware, make cocktails, all with a smile - they never stopped moving, something I can appreciate as someone who works in a similar capacity. Thanks for a wonderful last...
Read moreThe staff were very nice and good sitting location with nice view over the street.
The food was disappointing though. We chose the place because of the five star reviews. The materials were well chosen and very fresh but the cooking was a little disappointing. The pork was hardly seasoned and the sauce also didn’t add much. Plus the mash sweet potato, it made a monotonic plate. It would help if the pork was seasoned better or if the sauce was more refreshing or if there are some side dishes that interrupts and change the flavor a little. My accompany had a grilled salmon dish and had the same problem. There was nothing on the plate the could milden down the oiliness of the fish.
The dishes were also a little overpriced in comparison to the local average...
