O Guerreiro — Restaurant in Lisbon

The food was horrible. Barely any flavor. The only flavor I got in my veal medallion was from the sugary syrup coating the veal. The fries were undercooked. No spoon. After this dish, I thought I would die from diabetes, heart attack, and bland taste buds. I had to resort to ketchup and hot sauce. My group ordered pork sandwiches, but they mixed it up and gave us beef! The sandwiches were the worst sandwiches my family has ever had. Bread was dry and so was the meat. SO BLAND. My friend got the roasted chicken, and the bottom was entirely burnt. When I tried some of it, my mouth felt like a desert and ashes. ALSO, they messed up the bill! Since the beef sandwiches were cheaper than the pork sandwiches, it should’ve cost less, but they still charged us for the pork sandwiches which we did not get. We sat next to the kitchen which was so loud, with people shouting and tools clambering. I gave it one more star because of the cute lady who helped and their bathrooms were clean. My mobile phone died and it had started to drizzle, so I popped into the closest restaurant (cannot go anywhere in Alfalma without google maps!!). I had already eaten lunch. When I told the delightful woman who greeted me that I just wanted wine, she was welcoming and took me through the more formal dining area inside to the covered patio in the back. It was such a respite from the tourist crowds. My server (Katia?) was friendly and attentive. She noticed I was charging my phone with a puny power bank and without my even asking she brought me a much stronger device. I enjoyed my time, watched other patrons enjoying their food and eventually ordered the octopus - served with carrots and broccoli! Tourist trap! We were coming out from the castle and were hungry, a lady from the restaurant invited us to come inside and we decided to give it a chance... Big error. The food was nicely garnished but had no flavor, was not seasoned and sadly, we felt scammed. We ate the steak (16€)and it was horrible and hard to eat, the meat was not fresh. The rice was undercooked. The chairs were uncomfortable. When we asked for the bill, the guy told us they only take cash, which was not mentioned before. We said we did not have cash, he insisted twice, until he finally decided to bring the machine. I assume this is to skip taxes or idk. I would suggest to avoid this place (seriously), walk a bit more and find a better place. Makes me sad to spend money in...
