The service was decent. We came in for a late lunch at 3pm. The restaurant was empty other than a table which was occupied by the owner/manager and his guests. Despite that, the hostess was kind enough to accommodate us. We placed an order for lemonade, and I have to say, it is nowhere close to what I expected. The acidity level was Off-the-scale, and no matter how many sugar packets I dumped in the glass, it was in vain. We also ordered a baked Bakalau dish and Black Pork Loin with asparagus fried breadcrumbs, but we were served two absolutely different dishes. We inquired with the waitress and she immediately realized that the dishes served were not as ordered. We waited a little longer, and finally our dishes were served. Not the best experience TBH. Food was not the...

I had a fantastic experience at Páteo Restaurante, a stylish and welcoming spot that offers a great mix of traditional Portuguese flavors with a modern touch. The food was exceptional, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. I especially enjoyed the seafood dishes and grilled meats, which were cooked to perfection.

The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, making it a great place for both casual meals and special occasions. The service was attentive and professional, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Prices were fair for the quality and ambiance, making it a solid choice for a refined but relaxed dining experience. If you’re looking for delicious food in a charming setting, this is definitely a...

Good food but like with all restaurants here you need to know that the food that they bring out IS NOT complimentary. It is a common practice here to bring out either bread and/or meat and cheese plates when you sit down. The English menu says right at the top that if you do not eat these dishes you will not be charged. My biggest complaint with this place is that the address and location given by google maps and even the map used by yelp are way off. At least google maps had it within two blocks and then it wasn't even on the correct side of the street. Plus not one of the half dozen locals that we asked knew where this place was. The octopus dinner was like butter, but not enough to ever make me want to go...

Disappointing Had cod with cream (Bacalhau com natas), and for the first time saw it served with cheese and croutons instead of bread crumbs - there's a reason it's not done! The potatoes were undercooked and tasted like freezer, and the cream was so thick and salty it was unpleasant. The other dish we ordered was liver steaks (iscas), which were thick, under seasoned and very tough, much like a shoe. The potatoes on the side were also undercooked. The cake we had could have used an it more sugar and coffee- a bit more flavor wouldn't have gone amiss. Service was quick and friendly and offered to bring something else when told the steak was underwhelming.

We had to check to see if October 10, or the second Monday of October was a holiday in Portugal, because even at 10PM (22:00) the place kept filling up with locals. We had the seafood pasta soup for two - and it was phenomenal and a fraction of what we paid at another high-end restaurant in town. Even though it’s surrounded by gleaming office towers, 5 star hotels and a major transit and shopping hub, the place has the vibe of a family restaurant, and the chef even came out to check on our meal and welcome us. Wow!! If you’re from out of town and want a great Portuguese meal - come here!
