What a great find! The restaurant is located near the Campo Pequeno arena and is not visually stunning from outside. Once we got in, we were greeted by the host who, without me saying, placed us in the spot I had asked in the comments on the reservation. At the time, 20h, the restaurant was nearly empty, but it quickly filled up. It has an intimate, quiet yet comfortable ambiance. We were introduced with the couvert with two small breads, olive and a different flavored Philadelphia cheese, very good, I recommend it. The cheese with honey strudel was divine, not too sweet, a lot of cheese. Just wished it was about 15-25% bigger. For the main courses we asked for the Black Tiger Shrimp and fresh pasta with truffle - It was a perfect involved pasta with cream and truffle and 3 big shrimp. Amazing. - and "Peixe Galo" with seafood rice which was also incredible, the fish slightly lacked salt, but my partner thought it was fine. Lastly the desert, meringue lemon pie, nothing to be said, perfect, big for two, the meringue on top was clearly freshly done as the temperatures from the top and bottom differ, which means it is not all refrigerated and served. Did I glanced past the drinks? Cocktails are divine, I asked for the "Look it People", and it was one of the best cocktails I have tried. The Caipirinha was a little stiff, but my partner enjoyed it. They have a menu of wines, but I am not a professional on that, so I defer that part to...

I sampled five dishes, below are my distilled thoughts. If you're looking for a quick rec: it's the shrimp!
The handmade pasta was all delicious. You could taste the care and attention that went into it. But the sauce was a big let down. It was under seasoned and felt bland in flavor despite the amazing texture. I observed that this was an issue present in the dishes without tomato. I think in general these dishes were lacking the brightness or acidity that the tomato brought.
The creamed spinach had too strong of a rooty spinach flavor (again, lemon would have helped here). It was a big fail for the kids. One bite and they were done, me too.
Mixed drinks were good! We enjoyed the mojitos, but they had too much lime and ice inside. So you don't get as much drink as you'd expect.
The lemonade tasted handmade in a bad way. It was far too sour, like lemon juice and needed to be watered down.
Service by George was very accommodating and not too slow. He was great! We were initially seated in a wacky place, but after some trouble the wait staff kindly relocated us.
French fries and potato mash were perfect! As was the steak and shrimp :)
The napkins were incredibly lush and fluffy.
Lastly, I was extremely happy that they had a veggie option,...
Read moreVery nice and trendy selection of fusion dishes with some Italian and Portuguese influences. They serve a nice array of meat, fish, salads and vegetarian confections all with great visual presentation and care and tasty preparation.
Rosbife Risottos, smoked lamb, pork with mushroom puree, and ceviche are particularly good.
Staff was nice and welcoming even for a large group, and knowledgeable enough to recommended dishes.
Price was about 20 to 25 per person with some deserts. It can get quite busy at lunch times with all the attendants from neighborhood offices, and is popular at dinner too. Reservations are highly recommended, especially at Thursday nights when there are bullfights at the arena...
