Quiosque do Adamastor — Restaurant in Lisbon

Lisbon is famous for its kiosks and the Quiosque do Adamastor is considered by many to be among the best in the city. Its scenic location at the Santa Catarina viewpoint offers a perfect spot to enjoy a sunset along with a refreshing beverage. And while it can get quite crowded on a beautiful evening, the ambiance of this place is magical. And if you’re lucky, you may just catch a concert by local musicians.

Those that prefer smaller crowds should visit in the morning, but whenever you go, you’ll enjoy the company of the rock sculpture of the Adamastor. If you find yourself at the top of the hill in the very touristy Chiado area very close to the Bica elevador, find this little gem down a small street off the main drag and you’ll be rewarded with a reprieve from the huge crowds and a beautiful view over the River looking at Cristo Rei and the 25 of April bridge. Probably one of the most scenic - and most expensive - kiosks that I know about. It is basically a small glass and steel hut (they are common in Lisboa) with a few tables and chairs around where you can buy drinks and be impressed by arguably one of the best views of Lisboa.
