Royal Donuts Portugal — Restaurant in Lisbon

Max here, your local guide. This time at Royal Donuts. Taste: (4/5) This really depends which ones. I tried 6 of them so far. There were some I loved (the white chocolate ones or the apple cinnamon, and some I was more neutral (all darker chocolate one) and one I was disappointed with (the Peanut Butter one). But all in all, they are definitely good. They remind you of storebought doughnuts to some extent, except they look fancier and the filling is really nice.

Price: (4/5) Also pricey for normal donuts you are used to in the US to get for 2-3 dollars, I must admit that compared to the other shops and prices here in Lisbon this seems quite good value for money. However, they charge you extra 1.3€ for a nice box to put the donuts in, even though you have no decision authority about this. This is not fair and not okay.

Service: (2/5) I got to reiterate, it is really weird to charge for packaging that you did not...

We had the sweetest surprise discovering this gem of a donut shop! 🍩✨ The donuts here are hands down the best we’ve ever tried – crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and packed with flavour. Each bite was pure joy! The shop itself is beautifully decorated, full of pink flowers and good vibes, and the staff were super friendly.

We especially loved how everything was thoughtfully presented – from the gorgeous counter space to the lovely touch of an interactive screen in the background. And yes, pairing it with an ice-cold Super Bock made it even...

We have eagerly waited to visit this place so I took my two kids to have a look at what type of donuts were on offer. Excited, we entered the store, but immediately hi by the rudeness of the server. After looking at the donuts and seeing the outrageous priced for them, I decided the two strikes was enough for us to leave. As we went to leave the server then just shouted at us as if we had no right to enter the store and decide to leave without purchasing anything.

The absurd rudeness of this woman will ensure that I never go back...
