LOCAL Avenida — Restaurant in Lisbon

Normally I don't do any kind of judgements about a place because everybody have bad days, but honestly i should do an exception with this restaurant. We decided to make a reservation at 13:00. The order in the table was delivered at 14:10. In between the waitress had a problem with the device they use to make the order. He realised about it 45 min after and he ask us very kindly to change the order because apparently the pokes ( which are the speciality of the restaurant) were not possible to be cooked. We ordered new dishes (giving a second chance) . After 1h 15min we finally had our dishes which were absolutely bad done.

At the end, we were expecting some apologies from the manager. Those ones arrived when we complained about the services. The guy that was in charge of the cash register, was very rude and he make us pay for everything. At the end he gave us for free the drinks (6 euros... nothing). His actitud was really bad... NO SENSE OF SERVICE AT ALL.

I have to highlight that the interior of the restaurant is really nice, and the pokes look very tasty, but is really sad to said that they didn't transmit me any of those great things I felt at first...

Overall a good experience. We came for the vegan options on the menu. The jackfruit tacos were really, really good!! The only thing I would add to make them even better would be a few slices of lime to spritz over them. My husband was a bit disappointed by his chicken Caesar salad. It could've been a bit more garnished with tomatoes or onions. We both thought the juices we ordered had a kind of strange taste to them, but it may be because we're not used to the organic, sugar-free taste. The dessert was good, I especially loved the apple pecan pie. I could've eaten two pieces of it!!! 🤣 The blackberry cheesecake was also good, but maybe a bit too sweet. It was a bit expensive for what we had, but given the neighborhood it's in, I'm not surprised. The servers were kind but didn't worry about us too much. We ordered by phone with the QR code because the man who seated us didn't say anything to us. We thought we had to order ourselves then a waitress came over afterwards to take our order, but too late. So maybe a small lack of communication to improve for others. Still, we were overall pleased with our experience....

I recently visited Local and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I arrived slightly before 1130, but they were only serving the breakfast menu at that time. I was told that the lunch menu would not be available until 1200, however that information is not on the website

I ordered the Granola Fruit Bowl and a lemonade. Even though it looked good, the food wasn't anything special. The Granola Fruit Bowl was mostly yogurt and the lemonade was watery and very acidic. I would have ordered water to drink, but since the only option was filtered tap water costing the same as spring water, I didn't.

The staff wasn't very attentive and it took a long time for my food to come out. It seemed like they forgot I was there.

And the smoker that sat next to me didn't make the experience any better, especially because the wind was blowing all the smoke my way.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have good lunch options, but even with that being the case there are still various...
