Oh wow—what a gem! We’d just finished wandering around hungry and frustrated after striking out on other spots nearby. Our family of five wasn’t exactly in the best mood, but this place welcomed us with warmth and zero judgment (honestly, they would’ve been within reason to turn us away).
It’s a higher-end spot in Lisbon’s business district—especially for lunch—but worth every bite. It was slow when we arrived, closer to the end of service, so I can’t speak to the usual crowd, but the food and service were stellar.
We ordered the kids’ food first: a Margherita pizza and linguine with beef Bolognese—both gone in minutes. My husband and I started with sourdough bread, bluefin tuna tartare, and crudo. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. He went with the pumpkin ravioli (absolutely recommend), and I had the waiters suggestion—which I’ve totally forgotten the name of, but it was so good I don’t even care.
A refined yet genuinely welcoming experience. Would go back in...
Read moreMy fiancé and I were craving some pasta, so we dropped in to Scusa to give it a try. We were warmly greeted, and promptly seated. The waitstaff was very attentive, took our drink (Limoncello sour, and Mi Scusi), and appetizer order (the Burata with focaccia). The drinks were absolutely amazing. The mix of bourbon, balsamic, basil, and raspberry was killer, and the limoncello sour was a perfect blend of citrus and egg white. The burrata was amazing. The mains (tomato sauce pasta and carbonara) were hot, cooked impeccably, and well timed with the appetizers. For dessert we ordered the pana cotta, which has an amazing flavor. The only knock of the evening, which is really nit picking, is the dessert had just a teeeeny bit too much gelatin. Probably just personal preference, and I would absolutely order it again. Service, food, and atmosphere were on point and exactly how we wanted to cap off our trip to Lisbon. Can’t wait to come back....
