DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had the pizza Vegetariana which was supposed to be with zucchini (courgette), pepper and tomato, instead of the zucchini I had a weird mix of broccoli and carrot. This was definitely a pizza from the freezer - in no way fresh or delicious. At most, it was a margherita from the freezer with vegetables put on top. For 13,50€ I'd expect something different. When we asked for the receipt there was an extra point (about 3,50€) which was (after we asked!) explained to us as a tax and service fee. It's neither common for the tax to be excluded in the prices for the dishes in Portugal nor was it explained to us prior to ordering/when we got the receipt. After asking more in dept about it, they took it off. Conclusion: We ate so many delicious dinners in the neighborhood of Alfama. Do yourself a favor and choose a different place to eat.

Tucked away just a short walk from the Miradouro de Santa Luzia, Seher Palace is a lovely open-air spot in the heart of Alfama. I had the grilled sardines — served simply on their own, no sides — and they were excellent. Charred skin, fresh, tender flesh, and full of flavour. No fuss, just done properly. A cold glass of vinho verde alongside was the perfect match — crisp, light, and refreshing in the afternoon sun. Sitting outside on the cobbled street, surrounded by balconies and the quiet hum of Alfama, it all just felt… right. Service was relaxed and friendly, and the whole place has a calm, unfussy atmosphere that fits the setting perfectly. A great spot for a simple, authentic meal after enjoying the views from Santa Luzia. Would definitely go back.

5-Star Dining Experience!

Last night, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at SEHER PALACE and I must say, it was truly unforgettable! From the moment we stepped inside, the warm ambiance and impeccable service made us feel right at home.

Food

The culinary delights were exceptional! Every dish was expertly crafted, presenting a harmonious balance of flavors and textures. Standouts included:

Appetizer Portuguese bread with chese and butter– heavenly!

Main Course Grilled Fish with roasted vegetables and cabernet reduction – tender and juicy!

Dessert Chocolate Lava Cake with vanilla ice cream – rich and indulgent!

Service

Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff made all the difference. Our server's wine pairing recommendations were spot-on!

Highlights

Cozy atmosphere with elegant décor Innovative menu with generous portions Exceptional service

Verdict

SEHER PALACE is a must-visit destination for any food enthusiast! With its outstanding cuisine, impeccable service and inviting ambiance, this gem earns a well-deserved 5 stars! I must enjoy the food every time when i visit Lisbon.

The food was extremely poor, and I ended up getting sick for two days after our meal. We had ordered three dishes, but two of them were undercooked, and one was overcooked. The service left much to be desired. While it's possible the staff was trying their best, the overall service experience was subpar. They were playing Kendrick Lamar's music loudly through an old iPad, which negatively impacted the atmosphere. When I asked them to lower the volume, they promptly complied. However, when we received the bill, they had added a tip without any explanation, and it was presented in Portuguese. When we inquired about it, the waiter claimed it was for taxes and tip, as if that explanation should suffice and would make me pay it. I requested the tip be removed, and they complied. Lisbon offers many superior dining options, I wouldn't recommend this place. It is not worth your money,...
