We went there for a lunch, because it seemed a nice place, and the reviews were okay as well, it had 4.2 stars overall, but when we already got there, then the sushi menu was actually really small, just a small section of the menu, basically the menu was just containing some snacks, soups, ramen and stuff like that, so we were actually really surprised, cause we went there to eat some sushi, but the sushi was just a small section on the menu! And the ordering was kinda difficult as well, as the waitress didn't speak English, and we had to show the pictures of what we wanted, and use the translator! And! When we finally got our sushi then they didn't even brought the wasabi and ginger to our table!! We were just waiting to eat, cause we always eat sushi with wasabi and ginger, so we had to wait when the waitress is coming back, but she didn't, and went to another tables, so we had to stand up and go to the desk by ourselves to ask for the wasabi and ginger to start eating! And later we had to go to ask for the receipt by ourselves as well, as there wasn't any waiters around, and when they finally brought the receipt to our table, they left again, and didn't come back, so we were waiting again there on the table like sillys to pay, but nobody came, so we had to go again to the desk to pay! What an unbelievable service, but the...
Read moreI opted for the "Rodízio menu" which is non stop for 23€. The amounts were copious and the food generally reasonable.
I was disappointed with the waiting staff. There were 3 service staff and 1 barman on rotation. I was kept waiting 25 minutes between my dishes and no one was looking at me. Noticing that all the service staff had their backs to the restaurant were mostly busy talking among eachother, I made a complaint which was met with the standard excuses and egoistic defensive behaviours. One staff member was seen consuming a juice in the restaurant and I mentioned to the manager (who himself was the disinterested of all) and this staff member came to literally bother me that they didn't appreciate my complaint (which was basically that it's not good to be seen drinking a beverage in front of the bar and in front of customers). Main issue being the lack of concern for the customers and the fact that they didn't seem to care.
Toilets not particularly clean, no separate male or female toilets, need to be rebuilt and look like a cattle feeding area. Also kitchen's proximity to the toilets where dirty plates are piled up for all customers to see is unsavoury and removes the appetite.
People come, people pay so why care?
Otherwise you can fill your stomach until you can't move for a...
Read moreSuch a disappointing change of approach. Having eaten here several times (more than 10), and having had good experiences – the fish is fresh, the sushi generally well prepared – we, as a family of 2 adults and a five-year-old were told "It's impossible to share a rodizio of sushi for 2 adults with a child of 5 years old - we have a menu costing €12.95 for children up to 10 y.o. with 20 pieces of sushi."
It's patently a waste of food and a method of pure, and rather cynical, revenue generation to prohibit – explicitly – adults sharing with small children. We're lucky our kid will eat sushi at all, but the most he'll manage is 6 or 7 pieces - a small fraction of an adult rodizio and obviously not worth the exorbitant price of the children's menu. There's a big difference between a 5- and a 10 year-old.
Such a shame as the last time we took him we had an enjoyable time, he and we enjoyed the food very much, and were allowed to do this. It's unlikely we'll return as a family - the owners need to think again about this, as we'll be telling all of...
