Zubir Churrasqueira — Restaurant in Lisbon

I visited as a lone diner on 5 April and was shown to a table at the smaller site across the road, very quickly. The waitress was very nice and she made some recommendations and said I could swap items from the platter if I would like to.

I ended up ordering a la carte (half chicken, cheese naan, small salad). The cheese naan was my favourite thing, it was not a pillowy naan like you would expect, but more like an oily flatbread, stuffed with a mild creamy cheese. The chicken itself was okay for my taste, but nothing to write home about. I ordered the spicy version but it didnt carry any heat. The piri piri seasoning was more so an oil based marinade rather than sauce. I dont think I would enjoy the meal without the green and white table sauces. The chicken itself felt a lot smaller than what I was expecting (but I am probably used to battery farm chicken in the UK haha). The salad was a refreshing addition to the meal.

Overall an okay meal, good to check off the list if you want to say you have had Portuguese peri peri (very hard to find halal in Lisbon!) location is about 30 mins from central lisbon but the city is well connected so you can travel by public transport easily.

I visit here from last 10 years because of its taste and quality Yesterday i went there with my friends , we order 1 full chicken and 1 Beef steak Chicken was well cooked and as per the standard and delicious but the Beef steak was not cooked well , not fresh and cold also When we complaint this to the waiteres , she replied they prepare it right now , we ask her to touch it and feel the coldness of it, that she refuse I took the steak to the Manager and he confirm it was cooked before, also accept it was cold Instead of preparing new steak for us, he heat up the same one ans serve back to us that we have refused

Hi I am Mateen , hope you remember me , I am your old customer from last 10 years ,you all knows me very well I have personally request the chef that day to make it well cooked, also i have request him to prepare the new one but he replied me that the Beef steak was prepared earlier due to rush hours

Amazing value! Second time visiting here. We got here close to when they reopen for dinner at 19:30 on a Thursday night and got right in, but it was pretty busy.

Inside and outside seating, it was a bit cold so we opted for in. They have some additional inside seating across the street. This is not a fancy or "date night" restaurant by any means, but you will get some AMAZING chicken for a great value.

Service is pretty fast though. Chicken is amazing. Everything is super fresh and flavorful. We got a whole chicken with the salad, rice and fries. Last time we got garlic bread as well but skipped it this time because it was just too much food (there was 2 of us).

A whole chicken is more than enough for 2 though with all the sides. We got the spicy chicken, it is not that spicy and I don't like spice - it just has a lot more flavor. I think the whole chicken with all the sides could probably be split between 3 people depending on your appetite.
