DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! This was by far the WORST hotel/apartment (if you can even call it that) I have ever stayed in. The pictures of the room I thought I booked were a misconception of what we actually got. The walls were moldy and a wreck. We stayed in room 003 which was practically a basement.
It started by us arriving and checking in and we walked into our room and were SHOCKED. The terrible smell burned our eyes and noses as well as the COCKROACH we were greeted by! Absolutely disgusting. We went back to the front desk and very politely told them the situation and they said there is nothing they can do tonight and that tomorrow they assured us they would move us up in a new room. It was late at night and all the hotels near by were sold out so we had to stay. The next morning there was a different receptionist. We explained the situation and told her the 2 guys last night said we would be upgraded today. THEY LIED. They knew the whole time there were no rooms available and that there was absolutely nothing they could do. I asked for a refund and they wouldn’t even budge on that. We then asked if they could cover our 25 euro shuttle fee to the airport and they said NO. It’s actually hysterical how much of a joke this place is. To top it off…. This is where it gets good. On our final night in this nightmare of a place, the receptionist calls us on our personal phone at 12:16 a.m. asking us to LET THEM IN THE BUILDING because they are locked out and have guests with them and cannot get in. That was the most outrageous thing I heard and extremely inappropriate. After everything they did to us and how they treated us, the decided to call and wake us up in the middle of the night to “come to the doors and let them in the building” because they’re locked out and can’t get in with other guests. ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A PLACE. DO NOT STAY HERE WHATEVER YOU DO. We never got our money...
Read moreI recently stayed at Lisboa 85 Suites and Apartments by Ridan Hotels, and my experience was quite positive.
The hotel staff demonstrated excellent communication skills prior to my arrival, guiding me through the check-in process at a different location on the same street. Their politeness, friendliness, and attention to detail stood out.
Upon arrival, a thoughtful welcome gift awaited me, and the receptionist took the time to familiarize me with the hotel. The card key system for both entering the premises and accessing the room added an extra layer of security. The well-decorated and clean hall, accompanied by ambient music, created a pleasant atmosphere.
My room was spacious, featuring a comfortable bed, a private bathroom, and efficient air conditioning that operated quietly. Conveniently placed electrical plugs on each side of the bed, and a TV with a variety of national and international channels enhanced the overall comfort.
The daily room cleaning service was a nice touch, providing a welcoming environment after a busy day. However, there was an occasional odd smell from the bathroom in the evening, despite its apparent cleanliness.
The hotel's location, right in front of the "Anjos" metro stop, offered excellent transportation convenience. However, being on the ground floor meant I could hear the arrivals and departures of trains. On the positive side, the surrounding area had numerous affordable restaurants, coffee places, and shops, making it more accessible than the central downtown area.
One aspect to note is the presence of homeless individuals in the hotel's vicinity. While I never felt threatened, it's worth mentioning for the awareness of fellow travellers.
Despite this, I would consider returning to this hotel due to its reasonable pricing, convenient location, overall comfort, and the caring attitude...

I strongly recommend you choose a different hotel. Unfortunately, I have to give this place a very negative review.
From the moment we arrived, we were hit by an awful, moldy, damp smell in our room. It was clearly unhealthy to breathe in, let alone sleep in. Mold was also visibly growing on the walls. We tried to overlook it and not let it ruin our stay, but things only got worse.
The bathroom was poorly maintained, with broken shower doors that made using it another obstacle. There was also no privacy towards the hallway. Gaps at the top and bottom of our bedroom door meant that every sound from the corridor came straight into our room, and vice versa. On top of that, the hallway lights kept turning on and off all night, shining through the gaps and making it hard to sleep.
Because our room was in the basement, we could hear the metro station right next to the building entrance. It was extremely loud and made sleeping nearly impossible.
BUT by far the worst part of our stay was our last night. As we were packing, we suddenly noticed cockroaches crawling across the floor, coming out of our shopping bags, and even on the bed mattress. It was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. The low price of this hotel does not justify these horrible living conditions, if anything, it’s still far too expensive for what you get.
The only positive note is the staff, who were amazing, super friendly, and clearly not at fault for these issues.
MY ADVICE: do yourself a favor and don’t come here....
