A Goan restaurant in Lisbon, did sound interesting for someone with deep ties to Goa. The restaurant is located not far from the central action packed area of Lisbon although in a less busy alley. It’s run by a family from Panjim, so it was authentic Goan food. The decor is bit dated and setup is surely 15-20 years old, at least looks that way. The place was fairly occupied by clients, many of them regulars. The menu was not elaborate but had few things for everyone. We ended up ordering some fish, prawns and pork based dishes. The food was quite good, very much like home cooking in Goa, to that’s a 👍, though in my opinion the serving size was small for the price. Service was fine, slightly slower than we are used to, but that’s part of Portugal and Goa ! Overall a good experience.

Very good food and service. Impeccable flavors and authentic Goan food. A must visit if you like flavour :-) the owner Sergio was a warm, lovely man who took care of his guests checking on each table from time to time. I had a very nice experience there - being a Goan I can confirm the food is super! Try the fish curry, ambotik, sarpatel, samosas, admas - you won't regret!

True Goan feel and taste. I had been to another Goan theme restaurant and wasn’t impressed with the authenticity of taste. This one is perfect. Tried both the Goan sausage chilly fry and Shrimp chilly fry Downed it with ice tea and it was the perfect end to my trip in Lisbon. .

If you're carving authentic Goan flavours in Lisbon... Sabores de Goa is a fantastic choice. From the moment you step in, the warm ambience, aromatic spices and friendly service set the stage for an excellent dining experience. It all starts with a welcome Indian samosa with the menu offers a delightful mix of Goan and Indian dishes. I was with my family and friends around 16 people and the restaurant made us feel like home. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable happy to recommend dishes for those unfamiliar with Goan - Indian cuisine. The Deco is elegant with traditional Indian artwork and soft lighting creating a cozy atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Goan cuisine and visit Lisbon...

I believe the owner’s name is Sergio — he welcomes you warmly into the restaurant and instantly makes you feel at home. Just like others mentioned in their reviews, it truly feels like a home away from home.

The food was very good and full of authentic Goan flavours. Here’s what I tried:

Samosas – very fresh and tasty (5/5)

Prawns Fry – cooked with recheado masala, absolutely delicious (5/5)

Pork Chilly Fry – flavourful and well-prepared (4/5)

Crab Xec Xec – rich and satisfying (4/5)

Sanna – soft, fresh, and perfect with the dishes (5/5)

He even serves Feni, if you’d like to enjoy a traditional Goan touch.

Overall, authentic Goan food, a great host, and a place I’ll definitely visit again whenever...
