We had a wonderful five nights stay in this hotel. In my opinion it is perfect located for a city trip because the metro station Anjus is walkable under one minute. The ride into the city center is about five minutes. If you want to walk, it will take approximately twenty minutes. Although you may consider that the neighbourhood might not be the best because it is a multicultural aria. But nothing to worry about. Some restaurants and a supermarket are nearby. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Communication in English is no problem. We arrived way before the check-in time and we were able to store our luggage till we could check-in. We got a spacious and bright room which was very clean too. Most important to us was a quiet room and we definitely got one. Exept the noise from the street which is even in the highest floor like you're standing down on the street (traffic, sirens and the vibration of the metro). Bring ear plugs! Comfy beds and a big bathtub with a shower but no separate shower or curtains. Our room had a minibar with resonerable prices, which we liked. The housekeeping did an amazing job. One day the came although we thought it would be to late because we stayed the afternoon in our room. They respect the "do not disturb" sign too. Which is appreciated. The breakfast is good and has lots of choice: cereal, toast, bread, fruit, scrambled eggs, eggs with sunny side up, normal eggs, beans, bacon, some yogurt, pastries, coffee, juice and water. It is standart quality, nothing very special. Nonetheless perfect to start a long day in the city with sightseeing. The check out was very pleasant and agian we could store our luggage till we needed it. In conclusion the hotel exceded our expectations and we would book the hotel again, if we come back to Lisbon. Thank you for making our stay relaxed and...
Read moreVisited Lisbon for 5 nights with my wife and 15 month year old son, and the Travel Park Hotel was the ideal place to stay. Our room was comfortable and had all the essential toiletries and the option of new bedding everyday. Breakfast was good and the staff (mainly the Indian gentleman) even attended to my son's needs by getting him a highchair. We had asked to fill up our Flask for my son's bottle numerous times and this never phased the staff. Reception staff were also very professional and really friendly (sorry I forgot your names, lady in glasses with curly hair and the gentleman in glasses).
The hotel is a minute away from Anjos Station but to be fair if you don't mind walking then Interdente and Martin Monez are only a few minutes walk away. Martin Monez has some really good Bengali restaurants, so we mainly ate there as they catered to our halal diet. Also, we found that souvenirs were much cheaper in Martin Monez than anywhere else in that locality.
My family and I used the metro station, which was easy to navigate around but travelling with a toddler in a stroller, we found that Bolt cabs (download the app) was our life saver as the price was already displayed in the app and drivers were always around to pick us up and we never had to wait more than 5mins for a Bolt cab.
From our hotel, to the people who worked inside the restaurants to the Bolt drivers, we were truly humbled by the humility and genuine kindness shown by the residents of...
Read moreThe staff at this establishment have no idea of the meaning of Customer Service. I made a next day booking in September 2024 and received an email confirmation of my booking. Just before going to bed that evening I received an email bluntly stating that my reservation had been cancelled because they had been unable to take a deposit from my credit card. There was no enquiry if I could provide an alternative credit card, there was no telephone call informing me there was a problem. On phoning the hotel to find out what the problem was I was very rudely informed that they were fully booked and when I asked for a manager I was told that there was no one there. When I asked how to make a formal complaint the rude receptionist said she had one room but that she could not take any bookings(!), that could only be booked on Booking.com. Of course that turned out to show "fully booked". Be warned, if this is indicative of the staff training and their interest in customer satisfaction, then you might be in for a few unpleasant surprises. (Fortunately, after a late night search, I found another very good hotel which I highly recommend in...
