A gem, and no queue for me! Usually “the street”, on a busy warm day is impossible. I hate waiting in line for a table, so decided to go a side street. And just a few house from the main fish street I found this place with a free space outside. The staff are INCREDIBLY friendly and homely, the fish was large, well-grilled and seasoned and not over priced (as opposed to some of their “fancier” neighbours with big queues) and the salad, olives and potatoes done well and seasoned perfectly.
If you’re looking for a more local, down to earth and real Matosinhos type feeling, this is the place.

Read moreA fun evening spent with family involving some lovely food. I ordered the grilled sea bream otherwise known as Dorado. Beautifully grilled, soft juicy fish with a garlic and herb marinade. The potatoes that it came with were waxy and super tasty . The green pepper and onion salad is a classic and it's moorish . Very hospitable staff , friendly relaxed service and you can peek into the open kitchen to see their lovely grill. It's a fun place to visit and the fish will vary depending on the season. Excellent value for money and we all went home feeling full and satisfied....

The food is amazing and is dependent on the locally caught fish (if you go for a fish dish, which is reccomendable because it is the local specialty).
