Azores Forever Diner — Restaurant in Ponta Delgada

Arrived in the morning and went there based on the review. Place was quite full looked nice. Walked in with the kids was told quite rudely and assertively we had to wait outside unless we were picking something up and if there was no table it was because there wasn’t one (we hadn’t even spoken at this point). Found a table which a couple kindly offered us and sat down, were immediately told in the same tone that there would be a significant wait because there were other tables in front (again I’d just settled in the kids I hadn’t even looked at the menu yet much less thought of ordering). Ended up getting up and leaving, baffled at the poor customer service without any type of engagement or questions or pressure on anyone of the staff....

After getting unexpectedly stuck on Azores Island for the foreseeable future due to a canceled flight, we wearily wandered into this lovely cafe and it turned our whole day around. Maria and Andy were incredibly hospitable, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience at their restaurant and encouraged us to explore the area on our unexpected day on Azores. We really enjoyed our freshly made fish and chips, white sangria, and americano. I can’t recommend Azores Forever enough, and will certainly be coming back when I plan a future trip to truly explore...

Stopped in Azores Forever for a beer. Great staff, friendly atmostsphere! I met the locals of Ponta Delgada. You come as a customer but leave as an old friend. Try the fish and chips.
