Want to get the best pizza dough you'll ever get in the Azores? Want the best coffee as well? Are you a vegan struggling with finding good spots to eat at? Intz offers that and more. As a vegan in the Azores, I have found it very hard to find food that's not just an improvised option or a mix of side dishes. Intz offers top quality preparations not only for vegans, but for virtually all kinds of people. Even though there are non-dairy milk options all around supermarkets in the area, there's virtually no place to find a vegan latte in the island, but Intz makes sure you feel welcome and not a burden. My first experience was so good that I had to come back two days later to try their pizzas. Their dough is simply amazing in terms of texture and flavor, and you can tell they only use good-quality ingredients. I tried the vegan burger, a latte and the most amazing chocolate brownie-like cake: moist, delicious and it melts in your mouth, definitely a must-get dessert. The next day I went for a "white pizza" with roasted garlic, rosemary and avocado: simple, but incredible and very filling. My boyfriend is not a vegan so the first day he tried a egg-and-avocado burger, and what's really cool is that they use the same pizza dough to make the bread, please do not hesitate and give it a try. I was also able to try a mango sponge cake that was as incredible as the chocolate one. I truly appreciate his owner's hospitality and his unique, Argentinian way of explaining the origin of each dish. The place is nicely decorated and it's very clean and tidy as well. If I could have one thing to comment on, it would be that it'd be nice to have stronger knives to cut the bread easily, but that's about it. Please come and try a true masterpiece in Ponta Delgada. Can't wait to come back.

TL;DR - best coffee in the Ponta Delgada, and potentially The Azores. Prices are very fair considering the freshly roasted coffee they produce is of superb quality. I had a single shot of espresso, a ham and cheese sandwich and bought a bag of 250g arabica for ~$17. Where to begin...? Ahh yes, let's start with this caffe and roaster being the only place I could find quality coffee from pure arabica roasted and ground on the spot. Every other place around is using the same big distributor's coffee and frankly it's 🤮 to my taste buds. One espresso pull of pure arabica from Honduras and they had me. They had a limited selection of a couple blends and a pure arabica on offer, all dark roasts. I asked about medium and light roasts and while they sometimes have them, the high and fluctuating humidity, typical of the Azores, limits them from making batches of these coffees. Now, besides the coffee being the highest quality available in the middle of the North Atlantic, the couple running this show are the most friendly and open people I've met on the island. They have interesting hobbies and opinions which they'll gladly share if you're friendly and curious enough to ask them. Don't even think twice, just go here, and let me know what you think.

The place was quite busy and there was only one guy taking orders and serving, and the chef. Because of this, service was slow, but that's understandable. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. When I did eventually get my food, I was not disappointed. I had the ham and cheese omelette and I'm not a fan of omelettes, but if they all tasted this good, I'd be the President of that fan club. Fresh ingredients, full of flavor, just the right amount of cheese and ham (enough to have some in every bite), well seasoned. Overall, very satisfying. Though the place was quite busy as I said, the one guy at the front of house (he may be the owner) was cheerful, full of life and struck up a conversation with every person that walked in. Even the lonely chef, brought food out always with a smile and a friendly greeting. Lastly, COFFEE.... absolutely amazing coffee. I'm addicted to coffee and their brews are next level. Beans from around the world, grounded in house and they even do their own house blend. Like what you had? You can buy pre-packaged beans to take home and try your luck at matching their brew. This is now my go-to spot on the island when I'm in the city on Saturday mornings.
