The name should be Cafe Regresso instead! Worst experience ever. When we started inquiring about our order, 45 minutes after placing it and not receiving at least our coffees, they started making up excuses about the kitchen being swamped (what's that anything to do with our coffees to start with?!?!?) So our brunch went something like that: They first brought our pancakes (COLD!). They than brought us 2 of the 3 juices we ordered. After that we received our 3rd juice from a confused waiter, soon to be followed by our eggs "main courses". After repeteadly asking them about our coffees, they brought 2 of the 3 coffees we ordered - 1 h and 10 min after walking in. We had to ask about our 3rd coffee 4 times in order for it to be delivered and everytime we would get a "1 minute" reply. After everything, we finally asked for the check - every single thing we ordered was on it. No discount, no real appologies. The coffee was great but the entire experience was awfull! Oh and I wasn't able to use neither one of my credit/debit cards - they had some kind of issues with their...

Casa Guedes was a very disappointing experience, to say the least. As the place apparently was full, we had to be sitted outside (5 adults and 4 kids), small metal tables ideal to have an expresso, but not so good to eat and have a glass of wine. We had two separated incidents were a glass of wine and a glass of orange juice was spilt because of the unbalanced tables[ which from start to finish we were trying to fix with tissues on the legs lol ], was like 4 or 5 waiters in and out and at no time they've offered to help or replace those drinks. The best help was to ignore the whole situation, really poor customer service. The food was delivered, not even once anyone had come back to the table to ask if everything was okay or if we need anything else. So we didn't bother to have deserts or coffee. One of us got up and went to pay the bill inside, while the rest of us got up and waiting on the side walk, one of the waiters approached us, as if we were leaving without paying the bill. What a bad experience, mainly because of the inexistent...

we went to Casa Guedes Progresso while visiting Porto. We actually went twice. The foos was excellent. I had the steak both times. The steak was very nicely done. the first time i asked for rare so it was very rare. the second time i asked for med rare and it was perfect for my taste. it came with rice and fries. would definitely recommend this. My wife had a burger the first time which was also nicely done. for the second time, she had the pork knuckles and that was excellent. the meat was nice and soft. We also ordered a standard salad. it was a decent size to share. however, there’s too much dressing. not that good. service was average. the second time took quite awhile for food to arrive. it didn’t come until i asked about it. my guess is that they forgot to put in the order. Overall i would recommend this place. it is not on the cheap side. about 23€ for the steak and 18€. not that expensive if you compare...

Last night's reunion dinner at Casa Guedes Progresso felt like a warm hug after years apart. We hadn't seen our friends since 2019, and the Lisbon restaurant buzzed with the energy of catching up. The food was phenomenal. The octopus carpaccio was a refreshingly light starter, its delicate flavor a perfect contrast to the drama of the main course. Our table shared a sizzling pan of roasted Portuguese sausage, the flames dancing merrily as the savory aroma filled the air. Even the stewed gizzards, a dish I wouldn't normally gravitate towards, surprised me with its rich, comforting depth. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall delightful atmosphere. Casa Guedes Progresso is a must-try for anyone visiting Lisbon – the food is a celebration, and the company, in our case, long overdue
