Ate the fried pastry croquette things here while in Porto. Everything here was good, especially the croquettes! I got the veal and fish, and can highly recommend both as solid examples of traditional Portuguese food. The service was fast and friendly, too. When it was obvious the server helping didn't speak English, she found another one who explained all of the options to me, even though the restaurant was clearly busy. I will come back if in Porto!

We initially wanted to try Majestic Cafe but the prices surprised us. While looking for alternatives, we found Imperio cafe which has been around since the 1940s. We tried their chicken soup and grilled chicken meal along with port wine and lots of their coconut baked cookies and tarts for desserts. Loved our food and desserts for its homely taste and great value for money. This place is popular among locals and you should definitely try it too.

I had a lovely experience at Imperio Bakery in Porto! The caldo verde was absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve had. The server was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the visit. The only downside was the beef pastry, which I found a bit dry and served cold. Other than that, everything was excellent, and I’d definitely recommend stopping by for a taste of authentic flavors!

There's a strong and blatant racism towards Asians/Chinese here. As the ONLY Asians in the restaurant we had to ask to be seated after being ignored and then asked kindly ask for menus (after waiting for so long) to which a lady server (older, plump with black hair) yelled at us infront of every one 3x to wait a minute. Well we waited up for a reasonable amount of time to know that we aren't getting served. It was embarrassing as we watched other PEOPle get seated and given menus. We eventually left as it was clear that we weren't going to served to which the same lady server loudly and condescendingly yelled poor us and sarcastically said sorry. In no way we're we rude or demanding, even the table next to us expressed that they were rude and felt uncomfortable at our treatment. So if your asian avoid this place unless you want to be...

We found this place after turning away from Majestic cafe. The outside doesnt look spectacular when its almost opposite to Majestic cafe. I can imagine this place being overlooked a lot. Ouside are about 4 tables for guests and when you lool inside its a narrow countee with baked goods. BUT when you walk further into the restaurant it has a öarge seating capacity. I saw a local eating a meat dish with potatoes and rice and asked for the same dish. It was huge portion and super delicious! My youngest son had a chicken soup, my wife and oldest son each had fried cod with rice and salad. The food was super authentic and good. The best part was when we asked foe the Bill and paid only 20€ in total including drinks!

Totally...
