I visited the restaurant few weeks ago and it was a bad experience. What disappointed me big time is that they try to fool you with the starters. They give you the starters (rolls, oil and cheese) before you even order, without asking whether you want it. Seems like a free gift/invitation, but it's not. After all they bill you 6.5 euros for this, which is easily 15% of the total for 2-person bill. I've never experienced something like that before, maybe it's a standard in some exclusive restaurants, but this one is not even a pretendent to be one. What was annoying as well is that I had to wait around 20 minutes to finally get the bill, and after saying paying with card is no problem, it turned out the terminal does not work and I had to find the ATM. The food wasn't really good and not worth the money. I had a seafood paella and I admit the seafood itself was good, but the meal as a whole was not (the rice was tasteless). I advise you against visiting, it's...
Read moreIn the last 12 years, every time I've been in Porto I've come here to eat Bacalhao A Bras (because, in the past, there were few places that cooked this kind of Bacalhau ), I've always been very satisfied. This time, 2 days ago, I was served the worst portion of Bacalhau A Bras in my entire life: a horrible, bitter taste and very, very dry…..It was my last visit to this place….And another disgusting thing I saw there: at a table next to me, a tourist who didn't speak Portuguese, found himself in front of the same Bacalhau A Bras, but without ordering anything like that. He called the boy who was walking around the tables and told him that he had ordered something else. But, since he had started eating, he said ok, I'll stick with this dish. I couldn't wait to see if that man managed to consume what he was served….Total lack of...
Read moreThe menu card is ok. People are friendly but in a commercial way. The music is disturbing by a strange noise that come and go. The fish was good but to much oil on the salat. On the bill a little amount for the “couvert” that is not what I expected. So at the end not impressive and i think there are more restaurants to try. But look out for the hidden costs. Porto,in general, is trying to earn from the tourists in not sympathetic way. I’am disappointed for so far. I am now for 2 weeks in Portugal and I had everywhere where I come the...
