Our visit here was the worst experience we’ve had in Porto. The food was tasteless, and part of our order simply never arrived. But the most appalling moment came when, in the middle of our meal, a waiter suddenly rushed over demanding to see a “card.” What card? He wasn’t even the waiter who had taken or brought our order.
Another staff member joined him, and the two of them stood over our table arguing with each other while we were trying to eat. The male waiter kept speaking loudly and gesturing wildly. Just ten minutes earlier, we had seen him shouting at a couple who had moved to a different table to escape the cigarette smoke. He seemed genuinely offended that they had dared to do so 😂.
We asked them multiple times to leave us alone and resolve their issue elsewhere. Only after we raised our voices did they finally step back. We called for the manager, who surprisingly showed up with the same unhinged waiter. The waiter kept insisting that his behavior was acceptable.
The manager told us that the waiter had just started working there a week ago and that he also yells in the kitchen. Still, the manager was unable to get him away from our table. It honestly felt like the waiter was ready to start a fight with customers.
Bottom line: the food was bad, the service was terrible, and the manager clearly has no control over the staff. Do yourself a favor and stay far away...
Read morethis restaurant screams tourist trap from the outside already which was the first red flag, but my boyfriend and i were super hungry, so we decided to give it a chance. i tried to order a carbonara without meat when they told me they couldn't make it without it (red flag number two: cheap pre-made sauces from the supermarket). as i said, i was hungry so i said that i'd take it anyways. well: i ended up waiting 30 minutes for my carbonara whilst my boyfriend had already finished his salmon with pesto pasta ... i work as a waitress too, so i know that serving one plate solo is a no-go already; but when i kindly asked where my plate was at, the waitress rudely scoffed at me and said i hadn't ordered the pasta (even though i had confirmed it twice that i'd take it anyway!). my boyfriend went to the toilet and he came back shocked to find that they were super dirty and the locks were broken. staff is super stressed out in general and running around all the time. i doubt that the ridiculously high prices for the also very small portions go towards their salaries. my boyfriend and me left as soon as possible - still hungry. as someone else said, you'd have a better experience at the mcdonalds just a few metres next to this place. a shame, because the location is...
Read moreThis is the worst restaurant I've ever eaten at in Porto. My food was cold, even the coffee. My kid's spaghetti bolognese was microwaved! She said it's the worst spaghetti she's ever had. It's a kids meal for €12.5, and it said 'with drink' on the menu. When I asked the waitress what drink options there were, she said 'iced lemon tea'. Normally, kids' meals come with choices like orange juice or apple juice. So I asked again "I can only choose Iced lemon tea?". she impatiently said "YES!" . Poor service. My husband went to pay. He didn't know kids' meals included a drink, so when he saw the bill, he asked why the kids' meal was so expensive. The staff just pointed at the menu prices and didn't say anything. Since the food was so bad, we didn't finish it and went straight to another restaurant. When my husband gave me the bill, I saw that the 'iced lemon tea' the waitress mentioned wasn't even free—it cost us €2.5! The kids meal didn’t come with drinks! I'll never eat at that restaurant again!...
