Buffet: always good options to fill your plate with 2-3 times. Almost makes you want to become a vegetarian. Drinks and desserts not included in the menu price.
Update: We got back to this location just recently, a few years after our initial visit and the initial 5-star review. Not only did we almost arrive at closing time because the hours are posted incorrectly (it closes at 3 pm, not 4 pm), we were also charged the dinner prices, not the lunch prices. We didn't even notice it until we got home. Sadly, we had also left a tip, and it stung more. I don't know if their prices are not listed correctly on the wall or the waiter who served us simply pocketed the difference after canceling out the dinner-price receipt. But it was very disappointing especially since their variety of food options was not what it used to be. 3-4 dishes of potatoes, 3-4 bean-based, and then mostly bread items and rice. Very carb-oriented, which is actually not that good for health. But we had been excited to go back and we were hungry. Getting home and discovering that this is yet another place that practices price dishonesty in Porto/Portugal after a barely satisfying meal was unpleasant. I don't think we'll...
Read moreAmazing place that do a lovely vegan buffet at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had lunch and dinner here during my 5 night stay in Porto and the food was brilliant. Great selection of fresh salads, tofu, hot dishes ect. the menu seemed to change very often and they do a range at every sitting. They have a good selection of vegan wines and some organic. the vegan natas and banoffee pie were dreamy and the place was clean, modern and in a great location. One criticism would be that the staff. Some are friendly some are not. We had some service issues, it took about 20 mins for our wine and soft drinks to come this is not ideal. But the food and good value price made up for this. I would suggest coming here hungry if you want to make the most of your money and try all the...
Read moreI'm not usually a fan of buffets and haven't been to one since before I became vegan. Usually I've found them to offer very average food and, to my eyes, average food is still average food even when it's cheap and there's an abundance of it. What a pleasant surprise, then, to go to DaTerra for lunch (twice!) while in Porto and sample a number of delicious cold and hot vegan dishes. Both days I went had different dishes on offer, including pasta, salads, grains, and stews, ranging from good to excellent. I also tried their banoffee pie which I thought was tasty too (perhaps a bit soft on the base). And, above all, it's very reasonably priced. I'll definitely return if I come...
