Pimenta Rosa — Restaurant in Porto

I was at Pimenta Rosa twice about ten days ago, and all I can say is that it is a lovely, fantastic and cozy place! They serve homemade, healthy, tasty food, in very generous quantities. The options are varied and, taking into consideration the quality and quantity of what you get served, they have absolutely decent and (more than) fair prices. When I got there the first time, and although they were about to finish cleaning up, the lovely lady running the place was kind enough to offer me some options after checking what was left and still warm in their kitchen (delicious feijoada, by the way!). The second time I went (what a nice soup, what a great quiche!), all the staff was very efficient and friendly despite the busy time they were going through. If I am ever back to Porto, I will certainly stop there again. Actually, I did not have time to try one of those...

we randomly discovered this while walking around the neighborhood near our airbnb. we wanted to get a quick cake and coffee. this is a great hidden gem. the chocolate cake was absolutely wonderful. not too sweet. my wife had the pineapple and coconut cake. we asked for a smaller slice on both and it’s still humongous. the cappuccino was really big and fairly good. if you don’t have a portugal credit card which we didn’t, make sure you have cash on you. we will definitely come back. will try their lunch the next time.

we came back on our last day to try the lunch here and it was as good as the desserts. Lunch came with a choice of main dish, a side, a salad, and a coffee. we got desserts as an xtra. Amazing food at reasonable price. one of the best discoveries...

Looking for a place to shelter from the pouring rain, I discovered this restaurant by chance. The decor and home cooking will make you feel like you are in the privacy of a home and will inspire a feeling of comfort.

The lunch options vary daily. The portion is generous, the price is about 7,60 € (food + coffee) without soup, drinks and dessert (you have to pay extra). There is always a fish, meat and vegetarian option so it is suitable for everyone.
