First of all, we did not eat there, so we can't review the food or anything food related. So that's the reason why i rate the food and the atmosphere with 3 stars out of 5 stars.

BUT, we were for 8 days in Porto, right across the street and this is the ONLY place in Porto where we were treated so unfriendly like anywhere in the city.

We checked online if there were tables and indeed there were timeslots to book a table, but we decided to go just over the street because we stayed just over the street.

I stepped into the place and wanted to go down the stairs to the restaurant to ask polite if we can eat there and out of nowhere i got shouted from the right "who are you?! " and "what do you want?!" in a very harsh unfriendly tone.

I explained calmly the situation and the tone didn't change and we left irritated the place.

We would recommend other options in the area, just because of the fact, that everywhere else the vibe of Porto was friendlier than...

My friend and I were staying at the “sister” hotel ( Casa Carolina ) at the back of this restaurant. We had a fixed price lunch there for €12.50 on the Friday which was absolutely superb in very smart surroundings - for UK residents , think of somewhere classy like San Carlo . The price increases to €20 on Saturday but still well worth it . Staff very courteous and attentive

We re visited this morning for our last breakfast - again great value at €7.50 and service standards very high .

Gutted that City lost the CL final , but delighted we unearthed an absolute gem .
