Trama — Restaurant in Porto

We had just the best diner at Trama during our short stay in Porto! After being kicked out from another restaurant nearby (Rio Tapas & Bar) because “We didn’t reserve”, by a rude waiter who added: “What did you expect - we are the BEST tapas bar in Porto!”, we kept wondering around, hungry and annoyed. Then we found Trama, who, despite it being busy Friday evening, assisted us with finding a table and gave us the best service possible! We were seated at the back garden with a super cozy atmosphere, and although we had to wait for our food quite a bit (busy evening, afterall), we did not regret coming here at all! Unlike that other place with questionable service and cuisine, this place provided us with amazing menu, that was both experimental yet familiar, for a reasonable amount of money, and the staff was very friendly and kind. Although I wasn’t planning on a big meal this evening, but we still went with ordering the whole menu, just because it was so delicious, we wanted to try it all. We topped it off with two plates of the most amazing desserts. And oh, the atmosphere of the restaurant is so cozy, and we absolutely loved the design of the illustrated plates! We unexpectedly found this hidden gem, and we are so happy we did! It was so good we came back for a second time tonight. Our goal was to try everything on the menu. We did our best!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. After travelling through Portugal for our honeymoon, this has been our favourite food spot to date. The dishes are so unique and prepared with such imagination and love. The olives were incredible, the pork rolls, chicken skewers, pickled melons, and tomato bread, fantastic. My husband has never had octopus as he doesn’t like seafood, and he LOVED their octopus dish. Truly a masterpiece :)

The wine tonics are also delicious and refreshing. You can honestly order anything and know it will be delicious.

The hospitality of staff there was next level. They took the time to explain each dish and you can tell they truly take pride in what they do. Thank you for everything and for making our honeymoon in Porto so special, it was so lovely meeting you all, we hope to be back soon!! Much love from...

The whole night was a Wow ! The vibe when you enter was calming -the service was relaxed but professional -the food exceeded my expectations from beginning to end-wine list was very nice -we love Espumante and the wine we chose was cooling, fresh and tasty… olives great, beetroot hummus exceptional, lebanee refreshing, sour dough bread yummy, the fish of the day was a type of tuna ( lightly salted and slightly cured with a fennel, apple, orange salad, triple fried fries -very different I’m not going to say why- octopus skewered with chimichuri sauce , Lebanee with a pineapple sauce/ compote , almond pesto and basil leaves served with freshly griddled pita -no room for dessert but we were treated to a kind of chocolate truffle with a white chocolate ganache filling ( my guess) loved it all will be back with...
