Went there for lunch. Had a mariscos dish with clams, mussels, shrimp, and grouper (options also included wreckfish, or cod). Came with potatoes and very crunchy bread. Served in a light sauce with lots of onions. It was €26 which I thought was quite reasonable. It was delicious and we could barely finish it. Wish they did rice instead of the potatoes but we still liked it very much. The crunch bread resined crunch even when soaked in the sauce. So good. Also had a white sangria (2l) with a touch of cinnamon. Loved it but since my wife only had 1 glass, I had to stumble home. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to restaurant that I would frequent often. Oh and the service was great too.

This Restaurent was a plesent surprise. Our first choise in the area was fully booked, but then we stubled over 'O Tunel'. From outsider nothing special, Even when you enter, nothing special. But then when you exprience the service and the food, then you know this place really does everything for you to feel welcome. I visited with My 2 sons, and Even if our choices from the menu was steaks and Salmon, and not traditional Portugees food, it was really Nice, well prepared, nicely served and with lots of taste. Prices are not cheap but ok, expecilly when you see that there is plently. Personally I got the Grilled Salmon, which was perfect. We can only recommed this Restaurent.

One of the best restaurants in Sintra it seems. They serve real and traditional food that is very well prepared. I recommend “Caçarola de Cherne e Marisco”, it’s one of their specialists and it’s the best caçarola I’ve had. If you’re looking for true Portuguese cuisine this is the place. The waiter was extremely kind and he’s looks and sounds super similar to José Cid, a Portuguese musician from the 80s that made an album called “10,000 years after between Venus and Mars, according to Sputnik Music it’s one of the best 100 albums of progressive rock in the world.

A hidden gem. It's our first visit to Portugal and our first trip to Sintra. We really appreciate going somewhere foreign and eating great local cuisine. After spending 4 days in Lisbon eating great Portuguese food, the O Túnel is our favorite, and this is not a bashing of the others but just an honest compliment to O Túnel. The elder gentleman who took care of us tonight helped us with the choice of menu and explained how to enjoy the dishes best, explaining that pretty much all ingredients on our plates were locally sourced. We had a traditional wreckfish pot and a chicken dish (which was not on the menu but advertised on their facebook page as a daily special). My wife had freshly made orange juice while I went for a glass of red wine. Together with the bread, cheese, meat and olives they served as appetizers it was more than enough, especially after the Sintra tart we were recommended for dessert. Go there if you want a down to earth great meal experience, a tiny distance away from the mainstream...
