There were 8 of us, and the restaurant was empty on Sunday evening, around 7:30 p.m. The waiter double check the order, which seemed nice, but then it took more than an hour to bring the food. We tried to overlook this issue, but when they brought the food, they brought 2 platters with sushi, claiming that it was easier to place the food like this. We started to eat, but soon we realized that the order was not complete, as we tried to identify which type of sushi each person from the table had ordered. We asked the waiter to help us, but he started by asking what we ordered ?!? We told him what we ordered, but he was unable to verify it, as he allegedly “misplaced” the piece of paper with the order. I went with him to verify the order on the screen of the register, and I identified 3 or 4 dishes that weren’t brought to the table. At that moment, he said that if I have a complaint, I can discuss it with the manager - I said that it’s perfect. At that moment, a young lady that was sitting at a table came to me and asked me “What is the problem?” without introducing herself, in a condescending manner… I explained her the problem- although she could have heard my discussion with the waiter, as she was sitting very close to the register, and she asked me again what ordered. When she was confronted with the missing dishes from the order, she couldn’t verify the order as the waiter conveniently misplaced the piece of paper with our order. At that moment, I asked to pay only the dishes that were served, and returned to my friends at the table, after almost half an hour of discussions… I renounced to continue my dinner and I left, only to find out later that the waiter “forgot” to bring the last dish - “rice with duck”. I think that it’s a modus operandi, to keep clients hungry for a long time, and then to place the entire order “mixed” on platters, so the hungry clients will not be able to identify the dishes they ordered, and to eat only what was brought to the table, paying instead for the entire order… The food was medium, for a sushi place in Bucharest. Totally...
Read moreI really had high expectations from this place, given the positive feedback received from people and constant advertising. I wanted to find a new spot with high quality fish and a passionate owner who puts his heart into sushi making.
People say they make art - But this art is not for me I love sushi, but this place seems like it took a western approach on it, which in my opinion ruins the whole concept. Let's address the big issue from the beginning, authentic sushi should not have Philadelphia Cream and authentic sushi lovers find it disgusting. I have went to sushi restaurants in multiple parts of the world and during Omakase not one of them served sushi with Philadelphia, never. I think this says something.
Nonetheless, the majority is not bothered by it and it is normal for business to have them on the menu. It is ok, everyone is free to eat what they like. But as a respectable sushi restaurant - You cannot make Philadelphia products represent the majority of the menu, not offering the possibility of removing it. Almost every interesting product on the menu has it, you are heavily limited and cannot enjoy the majority of their products.
And I have tried to respect their approach and stil ordered. A 500+ RON order where I have regretted almost every bite. I am...
Read moreAmazing food, we're sushi fans and this place became our favourite! We got the Banzai Set and coconut lemonades (passion fruit and strawberry) and everything was absolutely delicious! We also got dessert (passion fruit mousse) which was tasty. The service was great, the waiter is very friendly and attentive without being pushy. The place is also very cute, we loved the luxurious sofas and the plant-related decor elements. But the absolute star of the show was definitely the Banzai Set. It has both some usual sushi rolls and some particular ones, I suspect their own creation, a large number of the rolls being tempura, which for us was a plus. Will definitely...
