Nestled in the heart of Riyadh city, Awani is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with an ambiance of elegance and warmth. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, and I cannot resist sharing my delightful experience.
First and foremost, let's talk about the star of the show: the food. Every dish served at Awani Restaurant is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted to tantalize your taste buds. The flavors burst with authenticity, offering a journey through culinary excellence. Among the plethora of exquisite dishes, two stand out as absolute must-tries: the Armenian Manti and the Crispy Halloumi Salad.
The Armenian Manti, a dish I had the pleasure of indulging in, is a true delight. The perfectly cooked dumplings, filled with savory goodness, are a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to authenticity. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving me craving for more.
Equally impressive was the Crispy Halloumi Salad. The freshness of the ingredients combined harmoniously with the crispy halloumi, creating a delightful fusion of textures and tastes. It's a dish that perfectly balances indulgence with healthfulness, making it a favorite among diners.
Aside from the exceptional cuisine, I must commend the attention to detail in the cutleries used. Each piece exuded elegance and sophistication, adding to the overall dining experience. It's evident that every aspect of the meal, down to the smallest detail, is carefully curated to ensure utmost satisfaction.
However, what truly sets Awani apart is the impeccable service, particularly from our waiter, Abdulrahman. His professionalism, attentiveness, and warm demeanor elevated our dining experience to new heights. Abdulrahman's recommendations were spot on, guiding us through the menu with expertise and passion.
In conclusion, Awani is more than just a dining establishment—it's a culinary haven where every dish tells a story and every moment is cherished. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to Riyadh, I urge you not to miss the opportunity to dine at their Trust me; it's an experience you won't...
Read moreI can see how this restaurant may be good for a party of 4 or 5 maximum, but if you have an entourage of guests and you want them to get a taste of riyadh, please oh please avoid this place like its the black plague…
A simple order of strawberry mojito took me 25 minutes of waiting time (and I’d understand if this was during Ramadan Iftar, but it was at 11pm) eventually after the 25 minutes came and passed I was delivered a lemon lime mojito? I had to take a stand and afterwards I was delivered my strawberry mojito in under 5 minutes. Which means they just take 5x the time to prepare a single cup of juice. Almost as if they were waiting on the tree to mature and started plucking the strawberries one by one and squeezing them individually..
The food was alright, nothing too fancy, I mean it IS Riyadh, the food capital of the GCC. So the competition on that regard is stiff, so I don’t expect the very best. However we were a party of 30 who made reservations a week or two prior, and still their service was beyond sub-par. They kept dropping off the food platters on the same end of the table and by the time it reached the other end it was all leftovers so a large portion of our guests were left hungry for over an hour.
Just generally, if you value your guests, take them elsewhere. Hope this constructive feedback is helpful. And -100 points for poor shisha, as if they packed the shisha with a spoonful of Ma’asel (shisha flavor) and the smoke was very minimal due to their small shisha portions. When asked what flavors they serve, the rude manager who made us wait 30+ minutes to even take all our orders of shisha, told us “I don’t work for the shisha company, how would I know..” (I guess his attempt at being funny??) like come on man.. you have had to be deliberately sabotaging the good reputation of the restaurant. Never will visit again, they certainly lost the business of our company. (For context, this wasn’t our first time. The Roshn Front branch was MILES better than the Tahlia branch. Its almost a different restaurant...
Read moreAwani, latest recently opened branch in Tahliya. Prince Mohamad Bin Abdulaziz road, Riyadh It has many seats outdoor with couch seats as well. And larger indoor section. It is new, well maintained and very clean. Good atmosphere and positive vibes with traditional Lebanese songs in the morning. We visited in early weekend for breakfast, there was only 2 tables occupied with 4 guests. We ordered the Awani signature tray along levantine breakfast tray in addition to maroccan tea pot. Waiter was not friendly, and unhappy for some reason. He left without repeating the order and came back later to inform us that maroccan tea is not available. Service was very slow. Staff was not attentive at all, it was really hard to get attention and to find a staff for assistance. W had to look for staff and call them in order to be assisted. We had to ask for salt an d pepper. We had to ask for plates for guests. We had to ask for tissues. We had to ask for bread. No table service or table visits were done. Food was very good. Ordered items were served in adequate temperature and it all had appetizing appearance and taste as well. Fresh ingredients and material were used. Portions were above expectations and very satisfying. Prices are fair against the portions and quality and taste of ordered items. Perhaps they can focus more on customer service and customer hospitality. Waiter A** was dull and demotivated. Would have been the perfect experience if it wasn't to the hospitality and service provided even that the restaurant was empty and having only couple of guests Best of luck with...
