The Best Authentic Sichuan Food in Belgrade
Hands down the most authentic Sichuan-style spicy food in Belgrade. This is a family-run restaurant—the father is the chef, the mother manages the place, and the son helps out. My go-to dish is the boiled spicy fish. They even have a small live fish tank at the entrance, and they prepare it fresh each time you order.
The flavor is incredible—truly the closest you’ll get to real Sichuan cuisine here. The environment is very basic, with just four tables, and during peak times, you might have to queue outside and wait for someone to finish eating.
Most of the customers are Chinese, often seeking that real spicy kick. They also serve simpler dishes like rice with meat, like Chinese fast food. Some people might find the service lacking, but it’s just a small family restaurant, not a polished dining experience. They’re very kind, but sometimes hesitant with non-Chinese guests—not out of rudeness, but because they worry you won’t know what to order or won’t enjoy the very authentic flavors.

We ordered 3 dishes: Sichuan Boiled Beef, shredded pork with garlic sauce, and shredded vinegar potato? I'm not sure what the exact English translation would be here 😅
The Sichuan Boiled Beef was good but not exceptional, but I was a bit surprised by the seaweed in it.
Shredded pork was a bit too sweet

The place was small, and almost fully occupied only by the family that ran the place, and they all starred at me making you feel discomfort and awkward.
They speak absolutely zero english, and understood nothing, even when pointing with your finger on what you wanted from the menu, which resulted in me having the wrong dish, and suffering from Diarrhea.
