Centar No. 1 — Hotel in City of Belgrade

Приветливый и обходительный персонал. Очень обходительный персонал работает во время завтрака. Радует глаз администратор, которая каждый день руководит персоналом в зале для завтраков! ;-)) Замечательное местоположение - это, действительно, самый центральный отель. Недавно открылся в отреставрированном красивом историческом здании. Поскольку отель новый - внутри также всё пока новое, всё пахнет новым, шкафы - свежей древесиной. Хороший (фасадный) вид из окна на Площадь Республики.||||- Нет бесплатной воды в номере. На завтрак выбор блюд большой, а есть практически нечего и мало что вкусно. Кровати немного жестковатые. Был ряд не совсем приятных моментов, но они были урегулированы на месте. Например, при заселении, сотрудник ресепшн предложил до оплаты проживания внести депозит в размере полной стоимости проживания в евро и только после нашего активного не согласия и его звонка менеджеру, депозит сократили до 100 евро. Далее зайдя в номер мы поняли, что он убран не качественно. После приглашения старшей горничной и демонстрации ей качества уборки, нам поменяли номер. Бумажный конвертик для ключа дали б/у - смятый и явно использованный ранее. Заменили с ухмылкой только после моей просьбы. Из крана течёт очень странная вода - когда моешь руки с мылом, то мыло с рук не смывается совсем. Хоть день простой у раковины - бесполезно. Приходилось намыленные руки вытирать полотенцем. Почти такая же ситуация с принятием душа. Просто, извините за прямоту, идиотская система слива воды в душевой. У душевой зоны с остальной ванной комнатой нет даже малейшего порожка, заграждения, наклона - ничего! Таким образом ВСЯ ванная комната после принятие душа становится затопленной! Также вода наровит затапливать уже и номер! Не знаю, о чём думали дизайнеры и рабочие?! Также учтите, что кондиционер в номере работает автономно и не связан с общим электроснабжением номера. ||Не пользуйтесь услугами таксистов, ожидающих клиентов у вокзалов, мест гуляний и т.д., которые работают не по таксометру - с вас сдерут втридорога! Все такси - это обычные машины с колпаком "такси" на крыше. Заказывайте такси только через ресепшн! Избегайте мест, где вам предложат расплачиваться в евро - у них, как правило, свой очень плохой курс! Всегда требуйте счёт в кафе и ресторанах, и магазинах и внимательно его изучайте сверяясь с ценами в меню! Особенно будьте бдительны в придорожных кафе и на заправках. Меняйте деньги днём и впрок т.к. к вечеру обменные пункты снижают курс.||||+ Friendly and helpful staff. Very helpful staff works at the breakfast. The administrator, who rules the staff in the breakfast room every day is pleased to the eye! ;-)) Wonderful location - this is really the most central hotel. Recently opened in a renovated beautiful historic building. Because the hotel is new - everything is still new inside, everything smells new, wardrobes smells fresh wood. Good (front) view from the window on Republic Square.||||- No free water in the room. For breakfast, the choice of dishes is large, but there is practically nothing to eat and not tasty. The beds are a bit hard. There were a number of not very pleasant moments, but they were decided. For example, upon check-in, the receptionist suggested making a deposit in the amount of the total cost of living in euros before paying for the stay, and only after our active disagreement and his call to the manager, the deposit was reduced to 100 euros. Next, going into the room, we realized that it was not cleaned properly. After inviting the senior maid and showing her the quality of cleaning, room was changed. Used paper envelope for a key given - crumpled and obviously used earlier. Was replaced with a smirk only after my request. Very strange water flows from the tap - when you wash your hands with soap - the soap does not wash off completely. I had to wipe my soaped hands with a towel. Almost the same situation with taking a shower. Just, sorry for the directness, the idiotic drainage system in the shower. The shower area with the rest of the bathroom does not even have the slightest sill, barrage, tilt - nothing! Thus, the entire bathroom after showering becomes flooded! Also, the water will flood the room already! I don’t know what designers and workers were thinking about?! Also note that the air conditioning in the room is self-contained and is not connected to the room’s general power supply.||Do not use taxi who are waiting for customers at train stations, places of festivities, etc., who do not work with a taximeter - they work at exorbitant prices! All taxis are ordinary cars with a “taxi” cap on the roof. Book a taxi only at the reception! Avoid places where you will be offered to pay in euros - they usually have their very poor exchange rate! Always ask for the bill in cafes and restaurants, and shops and carefully read it by checking the prices on the menu! Be especially vigilant at roadside cafes and gas stations. APPENDIX AFTER RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER: Your capacity to continue to lie openly is really sad. We never received the "two free bottles of Champagne" you so conveniently mention, even though it was promised to us. Anyway, I don't intend to lose anymore time discussing your horrible hospitality. I just hope you'll put your ego aside for a minute and try to learn something from all this. All the best.

INITIAL REVIEW: Disrespectful staff and broken facilities. This hotel employs some of the most dishonest and disrespectful people we've ever come across on our travels (specifically Vlatko Grkavac). We chose this hotel primarily for their wellness but found out, only upon arrival, that 2/3 of their wellness facilities are closed off and non-functioning. Only the Finnish sauna was working in the entire wellness however there wasn't even any water available to hydrate after using it (let alone anything else like tea), not to mention the loud pop music blasting across the whole wellness, and no warm water in the showers at the end. A complete disaster and there was no one even around that we could ask for help or assistance. All in all, the only bright spot of this hotel is its location and cleanliness in the room, so if that's all you care about you will like it, otherwise, please stay away, especially if you want to avoid someone...

Great location great room. One star for the service is for the front desk, helpful. Room was no coffee at all . Breakfast was amazing a lot of choices but I wish I can said that for breakfast staff. Asked on entry how many people we said 2 adults and one child ( got confused when checked in , we were told that no charge for 5 year old for room and I mixed with breakfast charge) . The staff lady got so anxious , restless start calling front desk like not once , several times. Couldn’t enjoy the breakfast because we were keep hearing our name in the front throughout the whole breakfast and the child eating etc . We felt so uncomfortable even though we find the bill and realised we paid for all 4 of us , and we were sure front desk told her that but that was not enough for her to stop mentioning our name and giving us a look like we came to eat for free.
