I like Bad Sushi, but this one is a miss.
First, the only option for ramen meat is pork. That's it - only pork or veggie. I'm personally not a fan of pork and usually opt for chicken or beef however that is not even possible here. The rest of the menu is also pork.
Second, the prices are ridiculous for a portion this small. Usually it's not a problem in higher-end restaurants but in a ramen cafe, and for a bowl of soup? At least put more broth to make it seem bigger. There's barely any meat in there to compensate for the price and the veggie option is just as pricey. Not to mention that pork is probably the cheapest meat out there. So what are we paying for, if not meat? The rest of the ingredients are pretty basic, so I don't get it.
Third, the taste palette is very bland and oily. There's nothing captivating about the options - despite the different names they taste pretty much the same. One of the interesting positions was Tantanmen 2.0 with it's kumquat citrussy addition, however, it turned out to be overbearing and just too much. Unless you're a big fan of citrus, it does not feel like it belongs there and ruins the whole soup.
The branding of the place is, as is the case with Bad Sushi, immaculate - the place looks nice and modern, promising. However, even in Japan, ramen is not the type of food that needs to be elevated or reinvented - just like any soup, it's meant to be accessible for most. I understand this with sushi, but not ramen. So the positioning of the place is confusing - who is this for?
For once, the "bad" in the name might mean just...

My recent visit to this restaurant left me thoroughly unimpressed, both in terms of food quality and service. Let’s start with the dishes: the gyoza featured pork that tasted oddly sour and undercooked, giving off a raw, unpleasant texture. The kimchi, which should traditionally highlight fermented cabbage, was dominated by carrots, making it unbalanced and far from authentic.
The real issue, however, was the kimchi & pork ramen. Nowhere on the menu did it specify that the pork would be served as minced meat — a departure from the standard chunks of pork typically expected in ramen. When we received the dish, we were immediately put off, as we dislike ramen with minced meat. We politely called over the server to explain the confusion and requested a replacement. Shockingly, the staff refused to accommodate us. They insisted we pay for the original ramen and pay again if we wanted a different dish. This inflexibility was both frustrating and unprofessional.
While some might argue that we should have asked about the meat’s preparation in advance, I firmly believe it’s the restaurant’s responsibility to clarify such details in the menu or through their staff. The lack of transparency and unwillingness to resolve a simple misunderstanding reflects a total disregard for customer satisfaction.
Overall, the combination of mediocre food, misleading menu descriptions, and zero-effort service makes this a place I cannot recommend. 1/5 stars— save your money and...
Read moreThis place is amazing for ramen lovers! The ramen is awesome—the broth is rich, flavorful, and exactly how ramen should be. The meat is perfectly marinated, with a slightly sweet flavor that balances out the savory broth beautifully. They also serve kimchi, which was really tasty and added a nice kick to the meal.
The service was fast, and the waitress was incredibly attentive and helpful. She checked on us several times to make sure everything was fine and made sure we had everything we needed, which really elevated the experience.
I came in wanting something simple, and they delivered exactly that—a great bowl of classic ramen, along with some delicious sauces I ended up buying to take home. The only downside for me was the sake—it wasn’t the best quality, and unfortunately, it was the only option available. But honestly, that’s just a small complaint compared to the overall experience.
The interior is great, nothing fancy but cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The place was packed with people, and there were even people waiting outside, which tells you just how popular it is—and for good reason! If you’re craving ramen, this is definitely a spot worth visiting.
Overall, it’s a simple place with amazing ramen, fast service, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great...
