Envoy Hotel — Hotel in City of Belgrade

From now on, this is definitely going to be my go-to hotel in Belgrade!

We stayed in the hotel for 7 days and we had the most beautiful time there!

Firstly, the staff are some of the nicest and most helpful people that I ever encountered at any hotel. They really go an extra step to make sure that all of the guests are feeling welcome at the hotel! Their positive energy is definitely one of the main reasons why I will be returning to this hotel. All the best compliments to everyone working at this establishment!

Secondly, the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are super clean and the whole hotel smells wonderful! The location is excellent because it's right in the street next to Knez Mihailova (city center of Belgrade and the main street). Contrary to some reviews left by previous guests, it's super easy to find the hotel.

Lastly, their food is amazing. The hotel does have breakfast in the morning and it is fantastic. Unlike in other hotels, Envoy tries to offer different breakfast options every day. This is great for anyone staying a bit longer. Moreover, they have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options at the breakfast buffet. Also, we had lunch at the hotel once and the food was excellent!

My friends and I were traveling Serbia for the first time and weren’t sure whether to stay at a hotel or Airbnb. We were only staying in Belgrade for one night and decided to stay at the Envoy Hotel based on the location and the ratings and we were very glad we did.

I’ve traveled to many places and stayed at hundreds of hotels; this is the first review I’ve left. What stood out to us, and what was most impactful to our experience was the staff at the hotel and the exceptional service they provided. We arrived early and they were happy to hold on to our luggage and eager to offer recommendations for local restaurants, attractions, and nightlife. In particular, I’d like to recognize Senka’s professionalism, welcoming approach, and overwhelming genuineness. We left for each meal with a hand written list of places/dishes from Senka, she helped to set up our phones with local SIM cards (using her own earring to open the card), and personally walked us to the nearest cab to help translate and ensure we made it to the right train station.

A very mixed bag. The important things were good - very comfortable bed and pillows, well-designed room with lots of storage and room to move (superior double), well-designed bathroom, excellent wifi connection, good breakfast, great location. Lots of things niggled, however. Poor check-in experience - we were early, and even though quite a few other parties checked in before us, no effort was made to hurry our room preparation on. Even when the room was ready, we were not informed. Had to ask. No security on left luggage room. Desk staff seem to pride themselves on knowledge of the city, yet our one request for help involved us being sent on a wild goose chase looking for a laundromat. Google was much more helpful. The ‘city view’ described in the advertising is non-existent. Had to request room control of the AC - central control was too warm. And those 3-in-1 sachet things are not coffee. Not even close. AirPort transfer car was late, and then drove like the clappers to make up time. No cups left in the room on it last morning there. Just for the bed and the room though,...
