For me, this is THE best place in town!!!!
Not just for the AMAZING flatwhite, filter coffee, cappuccino fredo or any other coffee (they roast their own beans) and not just for the delicious, fresh pastries made sur place...But for the UNMATCHED vibe and atmosphere!!
Their staff: Marija, Nemanja, Uroš, Velja and others -- are fun, funny, cheerful, friendly – every time we go there we feel like we're at home and that's why we keep coming back.
Great coffee can maybe be found somewhere else too, but the entire thing - perfect pastries, great service, friendliness AND amazing coffee ----- I guarantee you there isn't another place in Belgrade where you can find all that, besides Hotel Beograd.
I would recommend this coffee shop to anyone and everyone, just as I recommended it to all my fiends -- who have now become their daily customers, and for a GOOD reason!
If you want to feel genuinely welcomed, chat with baristas or other guests, this is the place to be. It's self service, just like in the majority of coffee shops at the moment.
My top picks are their pain au chocolat, twist, any of their sandwiches, and croissants. When it comes to coffee, flatwhite and cappuccino fredo are the best. They also make their own homemade hazelnut milk, so you also have this option.
In terms of guests, it's a mix of foreigners and locals, which makes it dynamic. Hope this helps to anyone who's reading, because this little gem of a place deserves to...
Read moreThe atmosphere in the cafe is pleasant, with good music and charming decoration. The street view, featuring an island, adds to the ambiance. They roast their own coffee, which is a nice touch.
However, my experience was marred by the barista's service. I ordered a pour-over coffee, but the barista didn't inform me about the available coffee beans or offer a choice. Unlike my visit to 7am and Sonder, where I was given three options, this barista simply scooped coffee from the grinder hopper with his hand and proceeded to brew.
Additionally, the presentation of the coffee could be improved. The glass I was served in was cracked and slightly dirty. For comparison, I've included a photo showing the filter presentation here versus at 7am. While the coffee itself was satisfactory, the overall experience was lacking. Despite this, I might return if I'm in the area, hoping that the barista was just...
Read moreOverall, the place is good. The atmosphere is pleasant. It seemed to me that those who work nearby come here regularly. The people are nice.
The tea is served very strangely, it is inconvenient to use. I will attribute this to the observation that they do not drink tea here, but it is better to work on this for the guests. Croissant. I was told that previously croissants with chocolate were of a classic shape and tastier. Now it is a bun. delicious, buttery, made from puff pastry, but baked like a bun. with a tiny amount of filling in relation to the volume of dough. "Bagel" looks nice and appetizing, round buns with sesame seeds and filling in between, in general, let's call it a bun with filling. and cinnamon buns. But we wanted to try croissants. no, that's not it. I have never seen such a variation of the croissant anywhere in Europe) Please call it...
