Savamala Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

This was one of the few places open on May 1st.

We sat for quite a while before a waitress came to our table, even though we were the only customers in the room. The waitress barely spoke any English and was laughing with the staff about not understanding the language. It was also very difficult to get her attention to place an order or ask for the bill. When we asked about the soup of the day, we got one answer but received a different soup. The carbonara was decent, although the type of pasta used was not the right one.

Visually, the place looks nice, though the furniture is a bit worn. Overall, we were left with mixed feelings. It's hard to imagine how slow the service would be if they were busy. But we don't plan...

Delicious domaća kafa with cream! It might be also possible to ask for milk. Domaća kafa just with milk is better than ordinary one, but the one with cream is the best.

Čorba is very good! Hot, tasty, many soft meat pieces. Sups is warm and tasty, though it contains only noodles.

Mučkalica is a bit too spicy for me, and the meat is a bit too rough. Though the kaymak was good and it helped to decrease the spiciness. Gulaš is perfect. Big portion, very soft meat, not spicy. It is with noodles. The plate is metal :( So it is easier...

I was here with a friend for the first time, even though I was born in this city, and I have to say that I was in love with the place, servers, people, atmosphere and prices are very appropriate for anyone's pocket, we went for drinks, unfortunately, we didn't try anything from the food menu, but the restoran part was full and it seemed that people enjoyed very much, and smells coming from the kitchen were very seductive, I must say.
