Kineska Hrana Good Appetite — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

I don't go for Chinese food often in Serbia as it's always been very, "Serbified", meaning heavy on the cabbage, carrots, peanuts etc. - i.e. made largely with locally-available ingredients which tend to make the food remind me of a slightly spicy turšija or something and not really something authentically Chinese! This place was no exception to be honest. However I did enjoy the meal: I thought portions were generous, the food was tasty regardless and the price was very reasonable considering this is in the dead centre of Belgrade. On the downside the food just wasn't piping hot, it's prepared ahead of time and sitting in warming trays and was lukewarm at best, which I REALLY dislike but maybe that's just my preference. Service came with a bit of a language barrier and I just could not understand how the menu worked (1 side-dish + 2 or 3 main dishes), they should label the dishes more clearly, the whole thing was confusing, as was the definition of "prilog" (side-dish). But all in all I would probably go again. Perhaps I don't expect all that much of Chinese food in Serbia (I've been here since 1996 so I have good reason - I got served regular spaghetti one time instead of noodles) but this isn't too bad all-in-all. Zero customer service, zero ethics, zero etiquette and professionalism to deal with their customers. I visited today , I paid and ate, and on my way to leave one of the employees stopped me and said I didn't pay, i tried to tell her that i paid to her colleague but she was arguing in a bad way, so I told her I will wait here till you check the cameras and see that i have paid. She made a scene in front of the customers and made me feel bad! What kind of customer service is this, if they are not able to do their job correctly when the restaurant gets busy then their customers are not obligated to bear their rudeness. I asked her to apologize for her attitude but she refused. I hope one of the management team reads this review and act. I am not obliged to take the stress of your employees in my face and you owe me an apology. I just arrived to Belgrade and you just caused me a bad experience. And honestly I began thinking that this is your scam way to make tourists pay twice for their meals!!!

This is what we Asians call mixed vegetables rice. Basically a lunch box place, they also offer quick stir fried stuff like noodles and soup noodles. Pleas don’t expect tip top flavours and quality. But they are cheap and portion is huge. Expect clean. Expect quick.

You can get rice with tofu veg and meat. Or replace rice with another carb like noodles or fried rice.

I ordered the beef ramen but server promptly told me it’s not ramen but dried noodles. Anyway, it serves its purpose cause I was craving Asian food for some reason.
