Lafayette Cuisine Cabaret Club — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

In no way my opinion should affect your expectations as I am only giving the reader my perspective on the opinions that circulate on net or by mouth. For me Belgrade is a city that in my body evokes a kind of energy ( like if I mention lemon and you already feel the acid in your mouth). This Time I decided to visit LaFayette by invitation of my friends. And I entered the club with no expectation. Of course I advise you not to come too quickly to the club because you will be waiting at the door until 21:00 even if it is raining outside. Personally I understand and think that it is right. Regarding the tables I honestly say that wherever you are seated you will always have a first-row feeling. Perhaps our table was really a bit unlucky because right in front of it stands a black pillar which obscures the direction of the stage. But the show takes throughout the hole bar so you wont miss the performence. I don't know what the other waiters were like but we received an excellent one. I hope I'm not changing his name but we were served by the young waiter Nikola. Thank you Nikola. You made also my night a perfect one. Let me say that we chose the package of 150 euros per person. If someone reviews the food here I'm really interested in what they compare it to. Let me say that I did not expect the food to be so good here. The winner for me is definitely the beef Umami. I send a big hat down to the kitchen. There are also some opinions that waiters are rude about small charges but let me give you some advice: how much to reward someone who serves you from head to toe for hours . Be fair and reward his hope and effort. So let me finish on the part where there is a fear that the prices are too high. At any moment you can ask your waiter how much credit you still have. So don't be afraid. We were drinking and eating whole night . I was already afraid that my pants would burst but we still had money in our account. Without a bad conscience if somebody dont spend the hole money think that we overlook all the other people behind the show. Let alone the kitchen staff. But what would be an opinion if you can not find some critisism. No, it's not like that. I was surprised that white sneakers with laces and jeans also entered the club eventhogh there was written in instructions that no sneakers are allowed.Know that these are exceptions and in fact you will feel like ugly ducklings if you dress inappropriately so this rule may be overemphasized but dress nicely because you will really feel satisfied. As for the wardrobe I might really advise a different strategy. Ist a shame for the club that after a wonderful evening there is a bitter aftertaste because of the wardrobe payment. And if the hostess is having a bad day she may be really unpleasant to answer and fight with almost every guest. Personally I will conclude like this. Every time Belgrade allows me at least for one evening i will visit La Fayette. Even if we know the program I will visit it because of the good food, fair prices and great music and dance performance. And of course I'm not encouraging the owners to raise the prices of the service I'm just letting you know that it's correct. I wish the owners many more nice evenings and I advise you as a reader to visit the club. Take the whole Umami and all feelings from the club for many more days after the visit. Let the the energy of the city...

I have been to Lafayette Restaurant in Belgrade 7 times since 2021, and I usually loved the cabaret experience, the atmosphere, and the show. Unfortunately, my visit on October 30th this year with my husband was a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

Here is a detailed breakdown of the issues: Seating & Stage Visibility: We booked a table for two in the upper section. When the show started, we were shocked that the stage is unusually low – almost at the same level as the floor below. This wouldn’t have been a problem if the people in front of us hadn’t stood up for the entire show!!! There was no intervention from the staff or waiters, and we had no idea who they were. We were forced to watch nothing but the backs of their heads and shoulders for 4 hours straight. Recording the Show: Any attempt to record the performance on my phone was futile because of the people standing in front of us. We could not capture a single moment properly!!! Performers & Stage Layout: Most performers circulated among the audience rather than staying on stage. While this could be interesting, it was impossible for us to see what was happening from our table. The creative aspect was completely lost on us due to poor sightlines!!! Lighting & Visual Experience: The lighting was harsh and painful. Lasers were directed straight into our eyes, making it extremely uncomfortable to watch the show!!! Quality of Performers: The singers were noticeably weaker than in previous visits. Costumes lacked wow-factor, and many of the classic performances had been removed or toned down. Early dances were overly erotic and repetitive, making the show boring rather than exciting, especially for Halloween night!!! Food: We ordered turkey, which arrived cold and extremely dry – almost impossible to chew!!! For the price we paid, this was unacceptable!!! Additional Costs: At the end of the show, we were charged 450 dinar per jacket for coat check – 900 dinar total for 2 jackets, which is about $8 USD.

Overall, this visit was a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Lafayette used to be one of my favorite places, but the current setup, blocked views, weaker performances, painful lighting, poor food, and additional coat check fees made this an expensive and frustrating experience.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously because Lafayette used to be a highlight of Belgrade nightlife, and it deserves to regain its...

Ok so, I have heard so much about this place that I needed to check it out for myself.... Based on reviews I got impression that people are completely amazed or completely disappointed...so I was sceptical myself...You have to book for the weekends like month in advance otherwise you will be able to book to stand at the bar...Show starts around 10:30 but you have to be there minimum one hour earlier...dresscode elegant, although not everybody inside were dressed as communicated. Each table has own waiter and also groups at the bar...prices are for the exclusivity completely fine, having in mind that you have 3+hours of pure performance ! Personal is very polite and everyone are really good team when it comes to make the whole concept work. When it comes to the show, it was way beyond my expectations... so many different performances for almost each I was soo impressed that I still think about it...really unforgettable. Especially if you have in mind that you can't find many places in the world which are offering acrobatics, dancing & singing for 3 hs in one show. Even some famous Serbian singers/actors are part of the show...simply 👌 👏

I think for me what caused that woow effect is that when I thought ok this must be the last act of the night, it continued and became even better, and this happened 2-3 times during the show...simply woow... Likewise so many acts with fire, confetti fake money, so many different costumes...whole logistics behind it...its really worth the money...For me it was one of the best party experiences in my life!
