Positive: Exceptional location, facing the most popular shopping and touristic street of Belgrade - Knez Mihailova. Beds were comfortable. The female receptionists were kind.
Negative: We arrived at 05:30 AM and had a rather bad welcoming at check-in by the receptionist on duty. He was almost mad that we woke him up. The only introduction to our accommodation was the room number and Wi-Fi password. Twin beds had only one pillow each. Pillows were extremely uncomfortable, almost as if they were filled with 'thin air'. The room was generally cold. When the heating system was on, it was getting too warm too quickly, so not really possible to regulate the temperature as needed. Bathroom door has a gap wide enough, so anyone from the room would be able to observe what you are doing inside. No solid soap available, and we did not get one even when we asked for it. No other useful toiletries were available either. No foyer available at hotel entry. Reception desk too small and inconvenient for check in. Receptionists often absent from the...
Read moreI stayed in this boutique hotel for four nights while in Belgrade and the experience was marvelous! It is worth the money. The included breakfast was served at the next-door Boutique2 Restaurant and amazing a la carte choices are available. The hotel does not have an elevator but it has a fancy spiral stairway. The location is in the heart of a busy pedestrian street, Knez Mihailova lined with shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. Maison Royale is mere 10 minute walk from either the Republic Square and the Belgrade Fortress. The fortress provides amazing views of the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. There is a more modern mall just a few steps away where there is grocery store, a Starbucks, restaurants and bars. The hotel provide transfers (for a fee) to and from the Nikola Tesla Airport. Parking (with a daily fee) is in the next door mall but has to be reserved when booking. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Belgrade and I would stay here again given the...
Read moreWe loved Belgrade, and this hotel definitely played a part in that. It is an elegant building that welcomes you with a red balloon umbrella, located on a lovely street that stretches all the way to Kalemegdan. You enter the building through the restaurants on the ground floor. Red carpets, a staircase curving upwards, and a tiny reception desk greet you inside. The staff were very polite and helpful. We settled into our room without any issues. The room was clean and had everything we could possibly need. We stayed in a room overlooking the corner of the street. The bustle below was not disturbing at all. The location is excellent—we were able to reach many places on foot, and bus stops were also very close by.||My favorite thing was sitting on the window ledge and watching life rush by beneath my feet. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom door system. In our room, the door didn’t even have a lock mechanism, which wasn’t ideal. Still, I was extremely satisfied overall. It’s definitely a place I would love...
