As much as I would like to, I have to be honest and I can only recommend this Sunset cruise due to one redeeming feature - the hilarious tour guide… I didn’t get his name, but he is the tall lanky guy with the flip sunglasses. He is totally brilliant and hilarious and told us a few facts about Belgrade, which are interesting, peppered mostly with his with cynical and brilliant views of the architecture. On the pamphlet there is no picture of the boat I will attach one, as it is basically an old sci-fi movie submarine type boat. Unless you are lucky enough to be one of the eight people who can sit at the very front outside, I would bail before setting sail because the diesel fumes inside are something else. The so-called bottomless soft drinks come around once in the form of a tray of paper cups, with a choice of water, lemonade, something bright orange and a Coca-Cola. To be fair, you do get to see the most spectacular sunset over the Danube, but you could see that from dry land too. I really hate this to give a bad review and if you’re looking for comfort, bottomless name brand drinks and the wind in your hair, then I’d say stay away but if you’re looking for something a bit different, hilarious and so outrageously bad, I would almost...
Read moreFrom the beginning this was a weird experience, which I don't usually mind as things in Belgrade can be a bit weird, which is why I love it. But here we were asked to meet them at Kalmegdan, which makes absolutely no sense because the boat leaves from ... the river and not from a park 20 min walk away! We had ticket reservations and received our tickets but then without explanation we were divided in two groups. One group went on the boat seen on the picture in the website, which is what we expected. However, we were guided to a massive restaurant type boat, which is not what we expected. The guide was a recording and there was no one to ask questions to. It was a fine experience, but not worth 13 euros, and I'm sure it would've been cheaper and time saving just to go the water directly and pay for a seat on one of the...
Read moreNice experience but not what we have expected. Most people were on a very nice cruise ship called kaj, but a small group, including us, were on a very small closed (no outside space) ship called turtle. Very old, but it was clean and looked well maintained. The guide was very nice, with good command in english. The space inside was small, no air, very hot, without good view of the river and outside. They had free drinks on board but only cola, fanta and and soda from 2l bottles. They said they will offer juice for the kids but they didn’t. We asked for water for the kid, they gave us hot water and it was 37...
