VegANGELov — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

We stayed for several days in Belgrade and were looking for a vegetarian restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is in a very nice region with many other cafés and bars. The ambiente of VegANGELov is amazing! A small but lovely decorated place, which is very cozy. We were welcomed by a nice service with a smile and the dish of the day was well explained. We ordered kombucha to drink - absolutely recommended! The food was the best we've eaten in a long time! Everything was perfect: The timing, the service, the taste and the presentation - everything was great! We had an olive salad as a starter, which was already very tasty - the dressing was just perfect. For the main course, we had gnocchi with four different types of mushrooms (dish of the day) and the Balkan Espress. Both were very tasty. The mushrooms were very fresh and tasted like they were directly fresh from the forest. The grilled eggplants and zucchini with the green sauce were simply unbelievably delicious! For dessert we had a chocolate banana cake and pears cooked in white wine. A very successful end to the evening! It was so delicious that we will definitely be going back again. All in all, we spent around 5500 RSD (the equivalent of just under 50 euros), which is an absolutely reasonable price also for Belgrade - especially for the very delicious food!

Update: Two days later we were again in this restaurant - and again it was amazing! We had pasta with vegetables and the Italea Roll...

This really is an amazing restaurant. I found the place by accident. And, I’m glad I did. I went back the next week. I think that says enough. First of all, the food is great. This is, of course, not unimportant. Also, the food that I’ve tried was just a bit different than the food you’ll get at your average vegan restaurant. This alone would be reason enough for me to return again and try out one of the many other options on the menu. Everything is very affordable as well. The atmosphere is relaxed. The mezzanine, the reggae music in the background and lots of interesting art on the walls, make the place quite unique. The people that work here are really friendly and welcoming. I’ve had some wonderful and very interesting conversations. They were generous too, letting me try out some new and spontaneously created ‘new dish’ and different hot sauces. I have to admit, I still don’t know how to pronounce the name of the restaurant, but I do understand the reference. Everyone here absolutely loves what there are doing. You can certainly feel that. And, taste it too. When I return to Belgrade, I will definitely visit this...

I would give this place 6 stars if I could! I had the absolute pleasure of dining at VegANGELov recently, and I can honestly say it was fantastic. The food was outstanding! Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. This is literally the kind of cuisine I became vegan for - creative, satisfying, and full of personality.

What truly made our visit extra special was the service. We were served by a lovely blonde waitress named Magdalena, who was simply amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made us feel so well taken care of throughout the entire meal.

If I'm ever in Belgrade again I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to everyone, whether you're vegan or just curious. It's proof that vegan food can be exciting, comforting, and...
