Bar Sasa is a restaurant that exudes positive energy and delivers exceptional service, food and wine. It is tucked away in a tree-lined street in Dorcol, a short walk from the famous pedestrian street with views of original architecture filtered by lush green trees.
The choice is yours, upstairs fine dining for your special occasions, a quiet atmosphere, but then you can pop downstairs and enjoy the vibrant energy and enjoy the fine dining cuisine in a more relaxed environment.
We have dined both upstairs and downstairs dining. We found the upstairs to be more private and peaceful, an escape in a beautiful dining room that feels like a stately home surrounded by artwork and antiques with parquetry flooring.
The monthly changing menu is full of hearty comfort food, prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients, the best minestrone ever, tasty and sweet
All dishes have been mouthwatering, and you can't leave without sampling the Tiramisu!
The incredible wine list feels each choice has been handpicked to complement the fantastic menu. A solid handful of options from your favourite wine regions. Especially French, Italian and local Serbian wines.
Warm and welcoming, friendly service, full of smiles, feels like a family and friends-oriented restaurant, definitely a local favourite as was bustling with locals during midweek lunch.
Lunch and dinner all day, the kitchen do not close, similar throughout the Balkans. No matter time of day, you can enjoy a full menu cooked to perfection.
Head downstairs after lunch to enjoy a drink at the bar, great tunes and the local buzz, everyone is lost in their conversations. It truly has...

We were here as it was highly suggested by the restaurant owner nearby where we did not manage to get a table so we decided to give a try. Well....the food was unfortunately really far from expectations. Sadly, but the best thing was tomato pieces with feta cheese that we took as a side dish. In menu there is almost no tyical proposals, seems they try to push for medditerranean options like risotto, ragu etc. Chicken patè was almost no go, so it turned back almost untouched. Owen baked vegetables that were included in the main menu and that i chose like a main course were just a couple of not well grilled vegetable pieces that could be offered maybe a side dish but surely never as a main dish.
Service- the guy serving us was super kind, but we got the water and beer only after reminding more times, though they offered a last glass of beer on their cost so at the end it saved the service :) plus i understand that place was pretty full,so this could...

This place has a character and the interior has a great marriage between downstairs and upstairs.
There is a great harmony between restaurant, kitchen and workers. You feel the perfect team work when you just step in Sasa and the hospitality from A to Z. I really appreciated the man who takes the reservations. He deal with me and with my reservation requests with skill and grace. He is doing his job perfect.
I can say that this place has the best food and the best community as well in Stari Grad area. Sasa Bar & Restaurant is a great experience and always a good...
