Title: A Taste of India in the Heart of Slovakia - Dosa & Samosa Review

Rating: 5/5 stars

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dosa & Samosa, an Indian restaurant in bratislava, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! As soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and the aromatic scent of Indian spices.

The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes, and I was excited to try some of the classics. The main course was the Chicken lababdar which was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The creamy gravy was rich and flavorful, and the basmati rice was cooked just right.(i needed a bit more salt for the plain rice which they provide separately)

But the real highlight of my meal was the Mutton Biriyani. This dish was a masterclass in flavor and texture. The tender mutton pieces were perfectly cooked in a rich, aromatic sauce, and the basmati rice was cooked to a perfect fluffiness. The combination of the two was absolute magic, with each bite a perfect balance of spices, meat, and rice.

The service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with traditional Indian music playing in the background and colorful decorations adorning the walls.

In short, Dosa & Samosa is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in Bratislava. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!

Highly recommended for:

Authentic Indian flavors Variety of vegetarian and vegan options Friendly and knowledgeable staff Cozy and intimate atmosphere Reasonable prices

Don't miss out on this culinary gem in the heart...

Dosa Samosa, Bratislava – A Delightful Intersection of Tradition and Taste

Tucked away on Živnostenská ulica, just steps from a major tram station and right in the heart of Bratislava, Dosa Samosa delivers something rare: authentic Indian soul food in a fast-paced urban setting. As someone whose culinary reviews are read by tourists and critics alike, I tend to be sparing with five-star praise — but this restaurant has earned my exception.

I’ve visited Dosa Samosa on several occasions, sometimes solo and family friends. Not once have I left disappointed. The quality is unwavering, the service consistent, and the flavors — always honest, always satisfying.

Their South Indian staples such as crisp masala dosas, fluffy idlis, and aromatic sambar speak of real regional depth. And while those are crowd favorites, my personal soft spot is for their lamb-based dishes. The lamb curry in particular is slow-cooked perfection — tender meat, rich in spice but never overpowering. Balanced, soulful, and deeply comforting.

Pricing here is reasonable, especially considering the rising costs in Bratislava’s dining scene. It’s refreshing to find a place that delivers high-quality Indian food without the premium pricing seen at other establishments.

The owner-chef team works in sync, managing orders with admirable calm, even during peak hours. While service may occasionally take a little longer when it’s busy, it’s a minor trade-off for freshly prepared food made with integrity.

Dosa Samosa is more than just a restaurant — it's a staple I return to often, and one that never fails to deliver. For authentic flavors, thoughtful service, and honest pricing, it remains a standout in the city’s growing global...

The best restaurant I have ever visited in Europe. Sorry for the detail descriptive review but this is the least I could do since was overwhelmed with the overall service that I visited the same restaurant twice for both lunch(next day) and dinner. I came to know about this resto from a friend of mine and had decided to try it during my stay in Bratislava. Had reached Bratislava around 8.00 pm along with my friends. The restaurant timings were till 9.00 pm and since it was already late. We just checked with a hope of getting something to eat. They were polite in the approach and waited for us even it was late. They welcomed us so warmly and the chef came personally and just said that please tell me whatever you wish to eat and don’t worry about the menu, we can prepare whatever you wish to eat for. Hats off to the confidence of the chef and also the prices were very reasonable. We ordered few starters and Dosa. Please trust me when I say this, the quality and taste was so good that we were over whelmed and it’s the one of the best dishes I have ever eaten in Europe. The quantity served was more than sufficient. We literally were so happy and felt warm and happiness of their service that we couldn’t resist taking a pic with the chefs. It may be a small restaurant but their heart is big. I sincerely suggest to anyone visiting Bratislava, if you want to have Indian cuisine, Dosa and Samosa restaurant is a must...
