@foodie.slovenia/ Pizza Hamburg - Student offer Food: ššš Service: ššš Price: š²š²š² Student coupons: ā Free parking: ā Conclusion: Aroma is a Restaurant and Pizzeria which is located in the oldest house in Ljubljana in the old part of city centre. It was built in 1528 and in this house in 1562 lived the greatest slovenian author Primož Trubar, author of the first Slovenian books Primer and Catechism. When we visited this restaurant, first impression was not so great. It is nice to see that their lunch offer is very much designed for students, but you get that unusual feeling like you are having lunch in the canteen. Ambient in this restaurant is quite dark so it is not that pleasurable, but their garden outside is very relaxing and beautiful. Service in the beggining was quite unpersonal reminding more to a supermarket than a restaurant. Nevertheless, after we got seated, service was helpful and friendly. When we opened their menu we were nicely surprised as their offer is quite extensive. What we have ordered was delicious. Specialy the pizza was a pleasent surprise. Bacon was perfectly grilled and dough was nice and thin without any traces of sogginess, which is quite often a problem in many restaurants. Foodie recommends this restaurant to all students who would like too have a delicious and quick meal in the nicest part...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had dinner at Aroma and left pretty disappointed. The place looked fine and the reviews were okay, but it was oddly emptyāespecially with the restaurant next door being packed. That already felt a bit off.
We ordered a steak, tofu, and chicken with fries for the kids. Everything was cooked wellāthe steak was great quality and perfectly doneābut absolutely no seasoning. No salt, no pepper, nothing. Same with the chicken. Itās honestly baffling how they can get the cuisson right and then just skip the basics. I had to fix it myself at the table, and thatās just not how it should be.
To make things worse, they charge ā¬2,50 extra for a small pot of mayo. The steak was ā¬33,90, the tofu ā¬15,90, and the kidsā chicken and fries ā¬17,90. For that kind of pricing, you expect something a lot better. Sure, the staff was friendly and flexible with the kids, but overall the experience just didnāt match the bill. I donāt think Iāll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been at this place three times. 1st time visiting, we waited for quite some time, yet food was very decent. 2nd time we've waited quite long again, food wasn't so good at all. Both of those 2 times waiters were very unpleasant with all of the customers, especially students. 3rd time we've waited long, waiter has seen us, walked pass us three times and just ignored us. First time he was carrying drinks for others, so it seemed reasonable, second time he was bringing menu to two tables where they clearly weren't students, so we said, "Okey, maybe it's just because he didn't have student menus", third time he walked to a table where students were present, took their menus, again looking at us as well, his hands were nothing but the menus, and decided to take the menus away, instead of bringing them to us, so we stood up and left.
All in all, pathetic waiters, disrespectful against students, decent but VERY...
