Old Quarter Residence — Hotel in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

A fabulous apartment right in the heart of Ljubljana old town. A short walk from parking (we parked at Kongresni Trg), the apartment has everything you need for a short or longer stay, including the use of laundry facilities. There were yummy treats in the fridge upon our arrival, and L’Occitane products were supplied in the bathroom which felt lush. The bed was very comfortable and the whole apartment extremely quiet. We loved sitting in the window seat and watching people walk along the street below, either first thing in the morning or late at night.

In the immediate vicinity are numerous cafes and restaurants, and the produce market is a two minute walk away. The best thing to do is go daily and buy fresh milk and yoghurt from the vending machines, and fruit/veggies from the many sellers.

As a host, Martina is exceptionally responsive both prior to your stay and after. We really appreciated that she helped solve a problem for us even after we had left. We have no hesitation in recommending this as the place to stay in old town Ljubljana, and hope to be back again....

Great location, amazing access instructions, facilities including washing machine and dryer, and a massive thanks for the sandwich press (the best way to heat up pizza (and the pizza in Ljubljana, unreal)). The massive call out here are the hosts. They accommodated my OCD by providing the check in instructions early, this was a step by step guide (with photos), they provided an emergency contact number as we were arriving at 1am (they even guided us through particular streets they felt would be safer at that time of night (not that we ever felt unsafe in this city)), and they keep responding to my Ljubljana questions in depth (which is no hosts obligation). I asked about the parking fee structure as we were renting a car and it was as if they worked for the parking company, the information was spot on, and they took the time to confirm the information before they provided it. Beautiful spacious apartment in a perfect location.

The hosts were wonderful providing excellent arrival instructions and communication.

The apartment is less than a five minute walk to the triple bridge. There are dozens of restaurants and shops on the pedestrian only street where the apartment is located and in the immediate area along the river.

The castle, museums, and most of the other major sites are all within walking distance.

The kitchen was well-equipped, and the coffee and snacks were wonderful. The apartment was very clean and comfortable.

There is a shared washer and dryer in the utility room directly across the hall from the apartment which worked out very well for us as we have been on the road for a while.

We highly recommend the Old Quarter Residence to anyone...
