Slovenska Hiša — Restaurant in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

I was sat on the riverside seating in the afternoon on Monday 25th Sept, not inside the main restaurant. I stopped by for something to eat as I was walking past. I’m glad I did choose to stop here.

The view of the river, bridges and buildings was very nice and relaxing. Seating was comfortable enough.

The food I had was a cheese and prosciutto ‘board’ which also included walnuts, cranberry’s etc too. This was really nice and made a change from what I would usually have ordered. There was actually more food than I could eat. All of it of decent quality and tasty.

I also had the union draft beer and a cappuccino

I have recently had a few bad experiences with service from waiters and waitresses in Ljubjiana during my current stay but the dark haired waitress here was very friendly ,helpful and efficient - definitely the best of all those I have met in Ljubljana

If you like watching 3 groups of people who arrived 20 minutes after you get their food 20 minutes before you, this is the place to be. If you like water downed cocktails, look no further. What about small portions? Then this place is perfect for you. Beer's not bad though. Nice little venue with cool mood lighting in the evening. You're better off going next door to either the Captain's Cabin or Kavarna Divine. Overall. The waitress was sympathetic, offered us some cake and a shot to make up for it, grossly underestimated how long it would be, we waited an hour+ for food. Beer is cheap. Cocktails watery. Long waits.
