George's Grill House Menlyn Maine Central Square — Restaurant in Gauteng

I went to George's for the third time yesterday, actually convince my friend to go with me. We got there and the waiter that was serving us didn't treat us well. Firstly, my friend ordered a peri peri chicken and Robson who was our waiter served her a lemon and herb chicken and he was defensive when we told him that this is not what my friend had ordered, he said she can use the hot sauce thats on the table. Yhebethuna.... Ok, fast forward after eating we requested the bill, he brought it and my friend was still busy doing some work on her laptop when he brought the card machine, I asked him to give us a few minutes. We were sitting on table 29 and I was facing a station where (I assume they place orders) Robson was standing with two gentlemen, looking at our table so I make a signal that we are ready to pay, he kept starring and I raised my hand, he got so annoyed and angry, he was talking but I couldn't hear what he was saying, but his demeanor indicated that he was fed up . The guys he was with didn't respond maybe it is because I was looking the whole time. He got to our table and I asked him if I did anything wrong, he said I am not supposed to raise my hand up, he was here with the machine and we didn't pay now I am raising my hand for him to return and his manager does not want guests to raise hands. He wasn't even polite. This is not how I was treated the two times I was there. I am not impressed by Robson's...

So many times, my boyfriend and I walked past George's, and we always said we wanted to give it a try.

We finally had the opportunity to go there on a Sunday evening. It was quite busy, but what threw me off was the door lady. She wasn't very welcoming and we asked for a table for 2, and she just gestured the closest table at the door, which wasn't a nice table, and there were many other better tables available in the restaurant.

My boyfriend then stepped up and asked if we could rather have a different table, which she just nodded and walked away. When our waiter came, he was very lovely and attentive to our orders as well as sharing the specials with us.

He took our order perfectly, and we were very happy with our order and felt like everything was cooked to perfection. The food was really melt in the mouth and a definite ten out of 10, including a waiter!

It's beautiful inside. The décor is lovely, and the bathrooms are extravagant. It is high quality and also neat and offers good privacy.

This restaurant is good for families, couples, dinners, maybe even lunch meetings...

We recently dined at this fantastic restaurant for the first time, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Tabiso had already prepared an awesome table for us, making our experience feel extra special right from the start.

Our waitress, Monalisa, was an absolute delight. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It's always a pleasure when the staff enhances your dining experience with their genuine hospitality.

Now, onto the food – it was nothing short of outstanding! The menu offered a variety of connoisseur-style dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly our meals were prepared, especially given how busy the restaurant was during our visit.
