Wow, what a complete disappointment—dare I say shocking. This was our third attempt at trusting a Southern Sun hotel's on-premises restaurant, and it will certainly be our last. While the photos online painted a picture of elegance and quality, the reality fell far short, with the prices far outweighing the quality and value delivered.
We visited Level Four for both lunch and dinner, and unfortunately, both experiences were dismal.
Lunch: There isn’t much to say except that the lamb sliders were underwhelming. My husband’s calamari was an absolute rip-off.
Dinner: From bad to worse. I was served one of the worst pieces of steak I’ve ever had. Just by looking at it, I could tell the quality was subpar—it resembled chuck more than any cut deserving of its price point. It was dry, tough, and entirely unappetizing. For a restaurant of this supposed caliber, this is a complete disgrace.
The experience left me so put off that I didn’t even want to risk ordering another dish. Instead, I ended up snacking on overpriced nuts from the mini-bar in our room because it was too late to visit any other restaurants—of which, ironically, there are plenty nearby. The world was our oyster, but instead, we were stuck with this disappointing experience.
The worst part of all was that it ruined what was meant to be a special evening: a much-anticipated wine-and-dine celebration for my husband’s birthday. Instead of creating a memorable experience, the restaurant left us regretting our choice.
Thank you to the manager on duty for hearing me out—your professionalism was appreciated, but unfortunately, it doesn’t change how deeply underwhelmed we were. Level Four drags down the reputation of 54 on Bath as a whole. We expected so much more and were left deeply...

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Level 4 in Rosebank, and it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance exuded elegance and sophistication, setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable evening.
The highlight of our night was undoubtedly the exceptional culinary creations crafted by the chef. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavors that danced on our taste buds. It was evident that every ingredient was carefully selected and expertly prepared, resulting in dishes that were not only delicious but also truly memorable.
What truly set Level 4 apart, however, was the chef's creativity and willingness to go above and beyond to cater to our preferences. They took the time to understand our tastes and dietary restrictions, creating a personalized dining experience that made us feel truly special.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who ensured that every need was met without being intrusive. The wine selection was extensive, offering the perfect accompaniment to our meal and enhancing the overall dining experience.
Overall, our night at Level 4 was nothing short of magical. From the exquisite food to the impeccable service, every aspect exceeded our expectations. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience that we will cherish for years to come. We cannot wait to return and indulge in another culinary journey that is truly out...
Read moreI really have mixed feelings about my experience at the restaurant. We were celebrating a 1 year anniversary, and we were welcomed by a friendly doorman. Immediately the hotel lobby was pleasant. The setting at the restaurant is really classic, and was fitting for the occasion. Our waiter, Patience was really nice and friendly. The issue started with the cocktails. We both ordered the Level Four martini, which is not a martini at all. We then asked for old fashions, and they were really watered down, but better than the martini. I ordered the lamb shoulder and honestly it was a let down. It tasted like my aunt had cooked lamb outside with a three legged pot. There was no flavour, it's as if it was only cooked with water. The mash was basic. Honestly this is a meal anyone can make at their house. My girlfriend ordered the pork belly and it was meh. The presentation was nice though but the pork belly itself was not succulent but rather hard. The relish was flavourful and she enjoyed that more than the actual pork belly. Overall, the atmosphere is really great, the staff is nice. The drinks and food are such a let down. I would not recommend this place for food. Also their menu is really limited, which is okay, but if your menu is gonna have limited options, they better be...
