Made a reservation at this restaurant for my friend and I. Upon arrival, my friend greeted the lady at the door and tried to make conversation by saying we got a little lost in building, instead of greeting back, the woman harshly asked if we had made a reservation to which we had indicated yes. It was a reservation for two. She first took us to a table in a small corner of the restaurant which was next to a larger table which was occupied. The issue was that the person who was sitting at the larger table’s chair was right against the chair of this two man table. We wouldn’t be able to get in or get out. We asked for a different table bc clearly there was no space there. Once we settled at the table, we were rudely told that our reservation was from 5-7 which I was made aware of when making the reservation and I was totally fine with. It’s the way in which we were told which was so off putting. My friend was visiting from overseas refused to put up with this woman’s rude tones annd standoffish behaviour and we decided to go downstairs to Kanpai after only being at the restaurant for 5 minutes. I would highly suggest going to Kanpai, the restaurant staff are very friendly even when you’re not a customer as they were the ones who helped my friend locate Momo Kuro in the building.
I’ve been to Momo Kuro before and I can definitely say that the food and customer service you will find at Kanpai is so much better.
Momo Kuro is a nice space but they need to improve on their customer service. You can’t feel unwelcome from the moment you step into...
Read moreFriday, 22nd September, my daughter decided to choose Mono Kuro as the dinner destination because of her asian palate preference. I must admit that the flavours were of a good meal preparation, however much to our disappointment, only a portion of the meals arrived at the table and we waited a good ten minutes for the rice dishes to arrive, at which stage the rest of the food was cold. Upon sending it back to the kitchen to be reheated, it took a further 15 minutes to return to the table. My wife ordered the Firecracker prawn dish topped with vermicelli, but the the dish arrived without the vermicelli. When we enquired about it, i was told that it was out of stock but we were not told this about prior to ordering. There were many other items not in stock and this seems to be the norm at all the Momo restaurants. I addressed the concerns with the manager on duty but the response was rather nonchalant. I don't think a revisit to the restaurant will be happening anytime soon. This restaurant offers a false sense of ambience, tasteful lighting and seatin, with some sumptuous meal options but meal presentations severely lacking and the service leaves much...

The bad: Staff appear to not care at all, and shocking lack of attentiveness/efficiency from waiters, kitchen and bar staff. Waited long for food, people's food came out at vastly different times (15 mins apart), coffee was served cold and had obviously been standing behind the bar for a while (coffee took 25 mins). Portion sizes are a bit small for the price. Korean toffee "honeycomb" dessert was very underwhelming and not honeycomb at all. At least 2 major items plus the signature Turkish delight lemonade were not available despite being the very first group to arrive on Mother's Day (for which it was fully booked). Hard to understand that and reinforces the impression of a badly-run restaurant.
Considered a 3/5 because the place does have potential and it wasn't an awful experience but there are just too many things going wrong for the price point.
Momo Kuro needs leadership (none of which appeared to exist) and to filter out the staff who are just not suited to working in the service industry - then it's...
