Orexi Greek Street Food - Fourways — Restaurant in Gauteng

What a fantastic evening we had here.

Right from requesting a table for 11 adults & 2 kids - I called a day before to book - no problem - no booking fee, no credit card request, no nonsense - the lovely lady just said yes & took down my contact details.

I must mention that our group was all Indians, with quite a few vegetarians in the group.

Our server was Vladimir who was an absolute star. He took care of us beautifully and made sure our plates and glasses were always full.

The vibe of Orexi is brilliant. Such high energy, lovely music, conversations are a bit loud, but not unmanageable, the staff really do a great job of managing this.

The owner came over a couple of times to check on us.

They don’t have a drinks menu yet, but we did manage to get some wine, a Bacardi & coke, coffees, water and sparkling waters. We were told that they are still trying to get their bar completely stocked. But we had enough options to satisfy our range of requests.

The food was lovely, so much better than that big chain. We stuck to mixed platters. The vegetarians loved the available choices - found them unusual, yet delicious. The meat eaters obviously had a lot more options.

I ordered a range of skewers and dips, - calamari, chicken, the special sausages, livers, lamb chops - tzatziki, hummus, that potato one was simply divine and a few others - they came with complimentary hot pita bread.

Everything was just so tasty. I had really wanted to taste the yiros- but we had no space for anything other than dessert after the grazing boards.

Everyone got into the spirit of the place - breaking a few plates helped 🤣 and we had an absolutely wonderful evening.

We had such a great time, that I did not take a single picture of the food and we only have a couple of group photos.

But I will definitely be back soon for those yiros and will take pictures...

I am not even sure where to start with this review!!! I actually excite myself taking my taste buds back to these memories ...... Yet I said that this is sure not a memory, but my HAPPY PLACE, MY GO TO PLACE....

I love everything about this restaurant... the quaintness of the ambiance, vibrant, lively atmosphere... bubbling with many personalities...

Bursting with only the best authentic Greek home cooked cuisine... Taking me home to your place and just being Greek!

The food/ menu is incredible.... so many simple options, but that can be integrated with one another, taking your taste buds for a Crescendo..... like no other!!!! Every bite Every taste is just another ummmmmm .....

There are so many delicious, different combinations... Yes, you have to try them all... This is definitely not a once, Let's try restaurant... Bookings are essential... people are catching on to this little hidden secret....

Ask me what's my favorite dish is.... Sorry, I can't.... I have to go back over and over for more !!!!

I came here with a group of family friends for the first time and with the experience of live entertainment and an elegant belly dancer. We made a booking and ordered platters for the table to share. This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. First off the staff are absolutely incredible and so attending. The menu is beautiful and authentic with reasonable prices as to the quality of food. The platters were for lovely, very tasty and adore family style.

This place made me feel like I was in Greece, the person playing the authentic Greek music was so heartwarming. Breaking the plates is a beautiful tradition and makes me appreciate their culture especially as an Italian, makes you feel at home. The belly dancer was absolutely astonishing and incredibly talented!

Further into the night it became such an exquisite atmosphere because everyone was dancing and being happy. Everyday should feel like this, being with people in a good energy and just enjoying time with family and friends, sharing yummy...
