There's not many Korean restaurants in Johannesburg that have an authentic Korean flavour and taste. For this one, it is okay. I do eat at Asian restaurants a lot, including Thai, Indian, Vietnamese etc and the only negative comment I can give for this place is that the food needed more salt. In my opinion, Korean food is all about its natural taste. They use anchovy broth to make a lot of their soups, the gochujang and gochugaru to make their sauces and it gives its flavours but when there's lack of salt, it doesn't have the right taste.

The restaurant is small with 6 or 7 tables inside and a few on the outside. They close at 3pm so I would recommend you go earlier if you are eating there for lunch. The restaurant is clean and well table layout. The service from the servers is very attentive.

As for the price, I have noticed that all Korean restaurants' prices are on the high side from R180 onwards. The upsides are that you get mini appetizers to go with it, every dish has a lot of ingredients in it and all soups come with a bowl of rice. Plus, the portion size is quite filling for one person. You can definitely order a few dishes to...

May be this is good enough to fool non-Asians but the cooking here is abysmal.

Asked the waitress to double confirm if the Kimchi Tofu can be made without meat. Said yes, then brought it out with meat 3 times. After admitting getting the order wrong, instead of making a new one, they just pick out the meat. (Guys, we can taste the pork oil)

The fish roe they used is so not fresh, I have eaten plastic with more finesses.

The boss lady doesn’t even give a damn. At a short 1 hour lunch, there is also another table complaining. And all that Boss Lady do was hiding behind the staff sending dagger eyes.

You know what, if you like being spit on as a paying client and bad food. This is actually a 5...

We went in January and loved it so much I’ve literally been craving to go back for the boneless Korean chicken. When we went in January, the portions were so big that we couldn’t finish, even though we were sharing. It was a dinner plate piled high with crispy delicious chicken. Today (February) we went back, ordered the same thing and the portion is now half the size in a smaller plate with a tiny coleslaw type of salad on the side. I was so shocked. And we specially took someone with us who we had been telling them how good this place was. Very expensive now for what you get. Sad as we would have been there regularly, but those portions at that price, not...
